Re: Downgrading from Live 9 Suite to Live 9 Standard?
A lot of users probably don't use many things in the Live Suite. It's there if you need it. There are often some nice freebies and they are MFL devices and those can only be used in the Suite. Very true. I was having a look at Bitwig and trying to figure out what I would miss and I just realized th...

Downgrading from Live 9 Suite to Live 9 Standard?
I've come to the realization that I don't actually use any of the additional content in Suite really, and would be perfectly happy using the Standard version of Live. Is there a downgrade + refund path or would I have to sell my entire Suite licence and then buy a 2nd hand Standard licence? If anyon...

Re: Vestax VCM 600 Users - Instant / Dynamic Mapping Possible?
I sold my VCM600 a year ago but I'm pretty sure that I used to assign those 8 FX buttons to select the title bars of different devices which brigs them into focus for 'blue hand' control, then the 8 knobs were automatically assigned to whichever device was selected.

Hi, this sounds just like a problem I've been encountering - any chance you still have this M4L device?

No problems here with 64 bit Yosemite (15" 2013 MBP / 16gb Ram / SSD + internal 2nd HDD)

Re: 32 GB RAM - the new 8 GB RAM?
I've never managed to make my MBP struggle and thats 'only' (lol) got 16gb in it. If you decide to go for 32 gb I'd buy and install it yourself though to avoid Apple's ridiculously inflated memory costs.

Recovering a project after a crash?
Last night I was working on some music and Live 9 crashed. This is never usually a problem as I'm usually asked on reboot whether I want to restore the project I was working on. However last night when I tried to reboot Live I saw the message "please wait, automatic update in progress". So...

Re: Live 9.2 wish list (I know this soon?)
Sort out smart-snap asap, or at least allow us to turn it off. I was fine with using a modifier or cmd+4 if I wanted to move notes off grid. The current implementation is a massive pain in the ass and seemingly random.

Re: Inconveniences with a rigged Macbook Pro?
hi Wascal- that all should test the CPU/RAM pretty well, but how about simultaneous audio streaming? I'm particularly interested in 30-40+ tracks at 88.2 or 96k/24 or 32 bit, and I'm especially interested on how that goes on the 7200rpm 750GB drive, but it would be good to contrast with the SSD too...

Re: Inconveniences with a rigged Macbook Pro?
Hi forum members, in search for a stable working notebook which i use for live improvisations with live 9 and cpu-hungry vsts like ni maschine, ni reaktor and ni massive, i think about taking an “Apple MacBook Pro 15,4" 2,6 GHz i7 8 GB 750 GB 7.200 U/min. BTO“. Additionally i’d like to fit it ...

Re: How Can I Delete Part of An Audio Track ?????????????
nope, i don't think that is good advice. volume automation is a much better way of handling noise reduction than chopping bits out as it allows you to achieve a smoother result. for vocal level control, volume automation will also allow you to do a better job than simply strapping a compressor over...

Re: How Can I Delete Part of An Audio Track ?????????????
Also, adjusting the levels of a vocal to make them more even is a job for a compressor. Google vocal compression
