Re: TERMINATOR Live

tbh i think it's more the fault of the driver or the OS than live's.. some drivers don't get flushed from the memory when the application using them gets closed. and applications normally wait for libs or drivers shutting down before they really exit. either blame the OS or the crappy coded drivers ...

Re: it's official, next year I don't upgrade till it's stable

Just out of curiosity. People having issues with GFX and CPU usage, you aren't using "integrated graphics" by any chance? Like Intel GMA950 for example. in my laptop i got a graphics chip with dedicated memory. still i got issues with live 8.. but none graphics-wise. integrated chips usin...

Re: Syncing via Ethernet - looking for advice

hi there! me and my bandmate sync our laptops over ethernet for years now and it's running quite good.. 1. you need an midi-over-ethernet driver, i suggest the one we use http://www.nerds.de/en/ipmidi.html - you get three client licenses with lifetime updates for 69 EUR / 79 USD and it's absolutely ...

Re: Ableton losing sync signal

if i were you i'd sync them the other way around, run live as master and the kaosspad as the slave.

the problem with live as slave is that you loose the latency compensation.

Re: PSP Nitro $9.99 at audiomidi.com

Gah. UAC. Run live as admin fixed it, if that helps anyone else. also fixed my Novation BassStation. Guess it's like that for all VSTs that are registered via codes. . . well, i guess it's only necessary for VSTs that store the authorization in the registry instead in a key-file in the plugin's fol...

Re: Ableton Portable & Portable VST's

I guess it's not possible to make everything portable. In protable apps all you do is to write a launcher that got a set of locations (e.g. your userprofile dir) and reg-keys that have to be collected and when the launcher got them, it stores them to files inside the portable app folder structure. W...

Re: How to increase a VST window's size?

there are some VSTs that are able to be resized and those work for me in live.

the majority have a fixed size, though, and cannot be resized.

Re: AD Ronin?

ronin is a different beast though.. you got delay, an extra feedback path for it, filter and saturation with 2 lfos, env follower and the ability to use notes and midi cc as modulators. what's special is that you can route the fx as you like and you can feedback an effect to itself. i'd say it's def...
