Re: Windows experts
Ha, I love when people hit an issue and believe the answer is to simply switch to another product. This is why people learn nothing these days. Mac has it's share of issues, mostly compatibility issues as the OS rolls on and every time and update comes out, or the sun goes down or comes up until 8 ...

Re: Crackle when using kontakt VST, not with Ableton instruments
OK, what I have discovered after some testing is that the cause of my cracking problem was the settings in my AUDIO DRIVER. It is the wired thing however. I have Hi Spec PC with 64Gig RAM. I could afford to assign high sample volume and went to 2048 (in the settings). That is what resulted hickups....

Re: Audio interface and CPU Load
LOL maybe it's not string enough either and you are all about drums. I thought Macbooks had a faster CPU. Hopefully you are not the crowd that believes more cores are better and individual core performance is secondary. Some DAWs do have issues using all cores equally.

Re: Audio interface and CPU Load
I'm just curious if there's a difference in CPU load and least possible latency between audio interfaces on the mac using audiocore. I have a Behringer UMC1820. Happy with the possibilities and sonic results of the interface. But at 8 tracks and just freezing MIDI tracks still gives it a 25% CPU lo...

Re: Live 11 and Camel Audio Alchemy
So is the current Apple version only available in Logic? I had an issue with Image Line products load with blank GUIs. I reinstalled them to fix it. Maybe a reinstall would work. I think one time with Alchemy I deleted the 32 bit folder and the 64 bit came up blank. The nice thing about Alchemy is y...

Re: Ableton 10 slow to load instruments, drums, rack etc...
Live 10 and 11 hate my AMDFX6300 system. It takes minutes to open. I remove some plugins but it is still slow. I also use a Steinberg UR22. I've sent many reports.

Abelton still working on Live 10 updates?
I always look at the beta releases. I remember when Live 10 came out they did an update to Live 9. I think it's great when developers do that.

Live Installers
Bloated and painfully slow.
I wish you could only install the exe. File size is now 2GB.
It's also very slow to install. It makes your forget that you are running it from a SSD. Reminds me of installing NI products,

Re: Ableton Live 10 Slow Startup
I had the same issue on one system using Windows 10. My only solution was to have it start up with Windows. My only conclusion is there must be some background process delaying Live. I don't have this with Live 11........yet. Well I was wrong. It's taking over 10 minutes. Glad you got yours solved.

Re: Live 11 offers less than 50% of Live 10
This seems to be a trend in any software development. We have more powerful systems and developers want to rape as much resources as possible. That indexing is annoying and the more you add to it so does it take up drive space.

Re: Ableton startup slow -- Some successful steps but Push 2 support alone adds 21 seconds!
One solution is to add Live to your startup in Windows. I have the same issue that exists on one machine. Something is causing it but the so called fixes don't work and it has to do with other startup items. If I launch Live as soon Windows starts if opens up immediately. is Live the only applicati...

Live's Browser needs to go.
No other DAW has this circle thing going to scan media files. Open up any DAW and they are there. The more folder you add the larger the db file gets and I've had in the past it grows over 3gb. I'm not sure why they did this after Live 8. If I want to audition a new sample pack, Live is not the DAW ...
