Live's Browser needs to go.
No other DAW has this circle thing going to scan media files. Open up any DAW and they are there. The more folder you add the larger the db file gets and I've had in the past it grows over 3gb. I'm not sure why they did this after Live 8. If I want to audition a new sample pack, Live is not the DAW ...

Re: Best PC Speakers Under $1000?
I'm hoping someone might recommend some great speakers for a home desktop PC, Can't be too large, my desk space is sort of limited, that's the only thing. I have space for a sub under my desk and about let's say about 6-10 inches (width) speaker size, (height doesn't matter) basically just not want...

Re: Previewing MIDI Files in Browser Doesn't Work
There are other DAWs where you can audition midi files. FL, Live, and Reason don't. Reaper, Bandlab, Studio One do for sure. You do need a VST loaded for them to work. I use Session View and it's not that big of a chore.

Re: Upgrade worth it or am I missing something? - CPU woes
I think something's not right with your setup. I have an i7-3610QM (quad core @ 2.3 Ghz and a gen older than your cpu) and 8Gb ram Current project has Revolution 909 kit, Diva, Repro-1, Hive, Fabfilter Twin-2, a couple of audio loops, Eq8, Compressor and Saturator on every track, sends with Delay a...

The Q6600 was a great processor. It's not always about ghz but architecture.

Slow load time empty project. Live 10.7
I can't figure this one out and I've done the usual yada yada to solve this.
It opens fine on one machine. The other is an AMD FX 6300 with a Steinberg UR22. This may have started with Live 10.6.

Re: Choice of CPU for new computer
I'm going to be replacing a ten year old Mac Pro and I'm looking for advice on what proc to get. I'm switching to PC as the new Mac offering doesn't look great for me. I'm not going to build it myself but instead going through a local shop. They offer the following i9 CPUs: Core i9 10900X 10 cores ...

Re: What PC keyboard do you guys use?
They still put those PS/2 slots on boards. There are days I'd prefer those than the wireless. I don't have to change batteries or deal with those wireless things not getting a signal.

Anyone removing packs from their Suite?
The orchestra stuff takes up over 8gb and isn't really as functional as the ones in Kontakt. I have so much 3rd party stuff I ignore most of the stuff in Suite. I probably wont upgrade to Suite anymore.
Any other packs you find not worth keeping?

The topped out one is really killer but so is the price. If they gave me one I would take it.

Re: Bitwig UI makes Live look old-fashioned
I guess I'm not from generation that needs my eye candy to work with a DAW. I even use Reaper's plain GUI. I have the CM version of Bitwig and I just don't dig it. I'm not gonna switch anytime soon. I'm not talking about "eye candy". You obviously did not read at all, just jumped in with ...
