Re: a good wine to go with ableton
Thanks for the breakdown rikhyray ! Being a white trash American who goes through 1/3 (or is it 1/2? I can't remember) of a jug of Carlo Rossi Burgundy per 8 hour sessions, this has to got be one of the most useful threads I've come across here. I can't be drinking and offering this shit when I got ...

Re: Who gets on your nerves musically ? Why?
I've found that adding a speaker-phone effect to the last line of a vocal before the chorus plays really lets people know that shit is about to get real! Non-musically, these overused words or terms are free to f$%k off for the next 10 years: "literally", "basically", "essen...

Re: Question for ableton staff
Glad to hear an actual and technical answer, especially from the horses mouth. As a windows user for over 15+ years, I've decided to save up for a MBP, mainly to catch up with professional peers in the video editing field but also to prepare for Live performance. Hackintosh is still kind of a pita f...

Re: New strange beat effect
mmmmm LA from FlyLo (it's highly likely he made his LP's in Live)
It sounds like he turned up the send knob to a reverse delay with autopan.
Check out the Audio demos from here:

mmmmm I've been missing that deep-house like early 2000 stuff. Make Believe brings it back for me. Nice!

Dark Dubby House
I've been beta testing a new mega-synth coming out from Synapse Audio, so I tested some presets I made to a sketch I that already started in a beta version of Orion 8 (the 909, bass from Predator, guitar), which I then brought into Live. I've been building a library of exotica samples so I added a f...

Re: subtle inconsistant tape speed effect?
To compensate for a lack of a whammy bar, I got Expert Sleepers Warbler , when used simply is a vibrato effect, but has has more uses when put to extremes. The upside to this is that you can use it on any track, so you're not limited to using vibrato on synths. For example, use it on a group contain...

Re: Advice please on getting a good spread in tracks, big space!
I like to use PSP StereoEnhancer . Unlike Utility, this will actually widen the stereo field of the track it's on. It's always good to keep moderation in mind and concentrate how it sits in the mix instead of automatically widening as much as possible. I never use on the Master, though there are no ...

Re: Auto send bug report , i dont want 2 emailing u constantly
I was thinking the same thing. I'd send more bugs if the whole process was embedded in the Bug Report window.
I have no problems writing what happened in a text window, but dealing with it externally is a pita especially when bugs occur every 5 seconds.

Re: Amplitube Crashing Live
I didn't have this problem until earlier today. I've been running Amplitude2 Lite in a project for the last month and all of the sudden having it in my vsts will crash any projects with it upon load (I get that "serious program error has occurred" error) I looked in my Log.txt and found th...
