Re: so has the bitwig beta been released or what?

Beside this whole discussion is some kind of senseless anyway ... in my opinion it would be very curios to announce a start of beta and then have "beta, release candidate" as top of the first beta invitation. But anyway...

Re: so has the bitwig beta been released or what?

4. i hate numbering things like this. 5. see, people do not care about keeping secrets for company's. 6. Most of these "people in other forums" seemed to think that pic of the invite was a fake. I don't care much as anyway wouldn't find the time to really test it, but I still don't ...

Re: so has the bitwig beta been released or what?

1. How should anyone over answer this question, if Bitwig would have done it like you suggested? 2. Why don't you ask Bitwig directly or at the unofficial Bitwig-forum? 3. Who cares? - I'm on their mailing list from (more or less) day one and there hasn't been any news further than the BW Studio ann...

Re: Live update

In November 2011 even 8.2.7 was still in beta. And if you've downloaded Live from Abletons server then, it must have been 8.2.6 or the 8.2.7 beta. When I remember right 8.2.8 beta appeared instantly after the official 8.2.7 update was out and that was in the beginning of December. Edit: Wrote that w...

Re: Very serious crash / URGENT

Sorry, I can't help, but would suggest to contact Ableton support by phone in such an urgent case. Support number can be found at the support page: http://www.ableton.com/support/contact --> technical support Phone numbers are located under the forms, European phone support time is from 11 - 15. Re: Poll: Who is sticking around and who is moving on?

I agree, there are however companies that are just easier to support, the smaller ones tend to have a better public relations approach. I would take sides with U-He, Ohm Force, Ableton, and Camel Audio over Apple, NI, Waves, or Digidesign. I'm fully with you in case of U-He (Urs is the most respons...

Re: Hitler learns about Bitwig Studio!

You are right, this sort of humor is quite questionable (even more if you are from any of the then affected countries or from Germany). As someone else in the other thread was saying, that this Bitwig announcement really would "need a Hitler video": http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?p...

Re: Poll: Who is sticking around and who is moving on?

3dot, even I decided yesterday not argue with candy warlos any further, because I 'm afraid that there is no chance to show people like him/her(?) that there is something questionably with their point of view... I can't agree more with what you wrote above! This "all for nothing" attitude ...

Re: Poll: Who is sticking around and who is moving on?

That's a way to put it, but nowadays you can also use pretty much anything you can think of for about 0 Euro with cracked software. That makes the act of paying still significant I guess. Yes, but that shouldn't be an arguement for telling a developer, that his product/upgrade is too expensive. Tha...

Re: Poll: Who is sticking around and who is moving on?

I've never used any of these features, they are completely useless to me. Except grouping tracks, maybe. (Also the fact that in Live 7 you can't drag the volume of all selected tracks at once) Basically, I bought Live 7 when I moved from PPC mac to core2duo mac, and Live 8 just for Vocoder, Multiba...

when it's ready for release... or to put in more pessimistically; when they think it's ready for release... we (us, you, me, forum users) will be among the very first to know. :| A friend, who developes music software himself, told me this week, that a new version of Live already would be in closed...

Re: Geez, Ableton 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my opinion the word "complain" is the wrong term to describe what most of people are doing here. I don't complain, I'm hoping, worrying and looking forward to hopefully see a new version or a totally revised product from Ableton. And yes, I wouldn't be sad to see something soon or to ge...
