I tried to update it to windows 8 but the nvidia graphics chip that was the problem. due to Sony getting them made with a different chip identifier code (something like that). So you can't install the nvidia drivers and of course Sony no longer support the model because it's too old. So I tried a do...

I'm pretty sure that Sony will have built in some specially cunning form of obsolescence to prevent me from upgrading my Win 7 Vaio Laptop. Probably not worth the pain.

A practical reason for not having 'A' and 'A#' in the same scale is that in conventional music notation both notes would have to be written on the same line/space and you would have to insert a sharp or natural sign to show which one you mean. by calling it Bb it gets it's own line on the stave.

Did they remove the link from the file menu in Live as well? I'm still on Live 9 but I took part in the beta test for 10 and the link to the forum was still there in the menu.
