that pc lap gave me more problems than it was worth. and actually the ibook has 4 times more Video ram, the same ram speed (pc-100), 512k L2 cache which is still onpoint with even the latest powerbooks. (and is twice the cache of my g4-867). the ibook was manufactured 2.5 years after the g4-400.. hr...

what i was saying is, the 400mhz G4 works great for my needs.
my question is, would the G3 800 perform on the same level as the G4 400 due to Ableton's lack of G4 optimization? i dont need more power, but rather the same power (if more, then great!) coupled with portability.
