Re: Properloop v1.0
Hi! Thanks for the interest. Getting ready to release an update soon which is going to make a lot of performance improvements and address a couple user requests. It is definitely meant to be a simple alternative to Ultraloop for those who either don't want to spend the money or don't have the money ...

Not sure of this plugin's ability to dynamically reduce cpu load, but it is possible within a max device to do so.soundsliketree wrote: I'm wondering about CPU. One advantage of Live's built in effects is that disabling them eliminates their CPU use, but this is not true for Max for Live, is it?

Re: Closed [gate~] not blocking flow ?
Gate~ outputs a 0 signal even when closed. Snapshot~ continuously processes as well. I think the only way to truly stop signal processing is through use of poly~ and mute thispoly~. There are also some deprecated objects that can still be used. You could always just put a regular max gate after the ...

Re: The super-n00b MIDI question!
Not true. From the looks of your second screen shot, the track your device resides on was not armed. (The record button was not red.) You should be able to preview what your doing in max while working in max, as long as the track is armed. Edit: You should also have your monitoring set to Auto not I...

Re: quantized "mute"
Does this work for you?

It's actually an audio effect as well, so if you want to preserve things like reverb and/or delay tails, place it before any effects chains. If you want to kill the entire signal, place it after.

Re: The super-n00b MIDI question!
You don't have velocity for your notein/noteout objects.
If you patch a cord from you noteins's velocity outlet to your noteout's velocity inlet, well, you will hear what happens.

Re: Properloop v1.0
For those who have yet to upgrade to max 7 for various reasons, purchase and download of Properloop now comes with a copy that functions identically in Max 6. Minus the new timestretching available in max 7. However, loops still automatically sync to tempo.

All the loops I use in the demo videos are actually from sample packs released by Krumble the Discobreaker.

Shifted Radio Records (Seeking Artists)
So awhile back I posted about a radio station. Never gained any steam at all. A combination of not being one to give up, having some web hosting, and still having a passion for building a meaningful artist community, we've decided to start a net label. For our first release we would like to put toge...

Re: 9.2 and MAX 7..?
They are not the same. What you bought was the ability to use Max with or WITHOUT Ableton Live. All of us strictly max for live users can only use Max from within Ableton.
You can actually build stand alones with your license now. I wouldn't regret that for a second.

Undo History
So I understand that live.remote~ is great for not clogging the undo history when controlling other live parameters. I also know about parameter visibility via inspector. What if you want to be able to automate or even simply store a parameter within the M4L device itself? Is an insane undo history ...

Inspirational Tools For Music
Thought I would start a thread about go-to devices you use when you need that spark of inspiration. I'll start with a short list. Nova3 by Tonecarver Anything from glitchmachines. (They always nail their randomization functions.) K-devices Autobeat. Anyone else want to share some cool stuff? If this...
