Agreeing muchly
Downloaded this plugin that seems like it would be crushmonster inevitable in Live. Audio to midi xlate! But need to select an output method to route it to that is listed as an input method in Live. Going to mess around with this some more. A little more on this, here is aworkaround, routing Audio f...

yes please to grouped faders
Yee-up, this would be very nice, group assignments. Now, it is the case in 4.x that you can route tracks to other audio tracks and group that way, right? But it is somewhat counterintuitive and therefore not in keeping with the general incredible Ableton "musician mind meld" when it comes ...

Re: Microboards is what you're looking for
This google search brings up several sources, they have silver thermal and white http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=microboards+cdr+media&btnG=Search . Also, if you are into duplication services, check out http://discmakers.com . They can provide full service duping and packaging,...

the question: cuantos benjamins tiene?
Summary: If you don't have a problem spending $400 or more, get a firewire interface for the reasons cited by others using them (yeh, that Edirol red thingie seems good http://edirol.com/products/info/fa66.html :) I have had no problems with the M-Audio MobilePre (which does not have midi) or the Ta...

Good for starters, get started :)
I think you will be able to do low numbers of tracks without too much problem. It's when you start to do live recording that generates large clips that you'll run into some issues with slow HD and only 512K RAM. You will be enthralled once you get it going, for sure. But you'll be able to do a fair ...

effects sends/returns
Don't know if you've noticed you can designate a return "pre" instead of the default "post", this helps with vocals. You can mix. match and chain effects this way as well.

yer gonna hate me-- Right Click menu, last "document" opened
Now I'm pretty sure Ableton is trying not to get platform specific on the UI, but if one could optionally configure the ability to do right click with even just the typical undo/cut/copy/paste that would be nifty. It would also be useful to have a list of most recent sets opened in the File dropdown.

Live is cool, it could be for you...
I did my first CD release entirely in Live, you can listen to samples here, play the HiFi if you have the bandwidth All good advice imo, many people would say go the ProTools route given you are a musician doing computer recording, vs. a computer musician (which most would say Live is geared toward...

Operator seems ok, price is a little daunting
Too expensive? Maybe, maybe not. Long story short, I bought a collection of 5 virtual instruments for $99 from the people who invented VST. One would not install, first fatal blue screen I've ever seen from an install program. One hung Live, not sure why, seems like the .fxb files where fouled up-- ...

Live 4.1 Critical error when normalizing on render
I usually use "select loop" to indicate the entireity of the track I want to render. Did this, also selected Normalize On. Got the "experienced a sevee error" prompt, which advised me to save as and exit, this prompt seems to be modal, however, to saving as is not an option. Hit ...
