Could someone from Germany tell me whether people there still refer to what used to be the DDR as "East Germany"? Isn't all "Germany" now (Deutschland, to be more accurate)?

wtf is wrong with you. use spotlight. WTF do you think I am using? Or trying to use, since it doesn't actually work. I have tons .ksd files, for example. If I search for *.ksd in spotlight - I get no hits, because Spotlight only indexes some directories, not all. oh, and hit cmd+f to search the man...

I bought my first mac a year and a half ago, mostly to use with Live. I have to say - I'm not favourably impressed. On the OS side - the innumerable file and library locations, the inability to search the Live manual, the broken 'finder' which hides useful results all add frustrations I did not have...

I'd love to see: "always collect all and save", and an end to the prompt. I don't know why it's an option at all.

I'm stuck around where the o.p. was. I am missing an entry in my Live Prefs called: automap midi, which is described in the setup documents. Is it still supposed to be there? I have several midi devices, is there a maximum number supported in Live? OK well the Novation view is that once you want to ...

I'm curious as to what you like about the Mini server vs a plain mini. The lack of an optical drive might slow me down. I realize it has more ram, but that could be added for less than the $300 difference.

Thanks for the patient effort, 3dot, but rbmonosylabik has illuminated all. I guess there's no way to view only one channel of a stereo sample in simpler.

I'm using it (and other vsts) to drum into from a simple Roland V-drum kit. It's great fun, and I discovered that Microtonic supports re-mapping.

There is also the possibility of programming bass sounds into it.

I've never quit figured out: when you "slice to new midi track" on a stereo sample, how do you see both channels of the resulting sample hits? Or is it summed to mono?
