Re: [TO MODERATING STAFF] - PLEASE CLEAN IT UP ...
the rambling on and on and on in a single post. every post is like a 1000 word essay written as though half of it came from a bowl of alphabet soup while the other half came from some bastard love child of the French and English languages with the Grim Reaper's suicidal cousin being the sperm donor...

Re: Midi Controlled Lighting
PM me with your email address and I'll send it to you. It's written for the arduino IDE, so there's no low-level processor initialization, etc, included in my code. Currently running on a Teensy 3.0 but it will run on a Teensy 2.0 as well.

Midi Controlled Lighting
Hey fellows, I've been geeking out with individually addressable rgb LED strips and Arduino. Actually not Arduino but Teensy, which has a huge advantage in the USB MIDI realm because it is class-compliant and works with everything... Hardware wise, what is involved is - the led strip (http://adafrui...

Re: White Led colors have different color tints/shades
re: korg wavedrum - it's fantastic, really. I had one of the original ones (paid 2500 us , sold it for a bit more) which was amazing, but the new one does much better, for much less. Its a great thing to have in your kit, its pretty easy to set up sounds for rim and head.. Great sounds. No Midi. The...

But it's well known that the off-white ones have the best tone.

Re: To those who upgraded from Live 8-9.
I upgraded from L8 suite to 9 suite - having moved my L8 library to large rotating media, my L8 installation (in Program Files) only took up 1G on the SSD. Not big enough to worry about imo.

Re: Tapes, tubes, saturation and warmers?
There's a Live 8 tutorial out there somewhere where the goal is to simulate an old reel-to-reel, including wow/flutter and tube electronics.. I forget how I came across it.

Re: Making Ambient Music (tips, methods, workflow, etc)
Well after my snarky music for airports comment, I promptly put it on.. Very relaxing.
Re metaphysical, I can't recommend anything other than just adjust the million parameters and noting how the sound changes.. I think mapping the m4l Lfo to some of those params might worth a laugh or two.

...the key is to make the music, interesting and forever changing, kind of painting but with sound,to evoke an atmosphere,or mood... I like to include a generative element or two as well. I love the sound of Reaktors' Metaphysical Function, I sometimes leave that running while I putter around the hou...

I wonder what the tolerances are on the current-limiting resistors on each led?...
+/-5% might be visible..

Some would see that as a feature...I press one key and all of a sudden it's like it's on autoplay bouncing around like nuts.
