I feel stupid.

How would I go about to make something like this in Ableton. Specifically, the part where the volume of the instrument negatively alters the reverb amount.

Anyone know's what to do?

Example: I would like to use two or more synths to play around with, but I would like one synth in one channel for bass and another synth in another channel for melody. I have that CPU and that motherboard. My Live is completely screwed up and until I rule the motherboard and cpu out, I can't recommend it. I've tried different ram, different sound cards, complete re-installation, made sure there's no IRQ trouble, and still everything is completely messed up.

Anyhow, I pulled out my IDE controller card, and put the backup disks in another computer backing up over my network. That sorted out most of the problems I had, so IRQ sounds to be what caused it. Spectrasonics products are still out of sync though.

I've tried Ableton 4, 5 and 6, two different sound cards, fresh XP install, and STILL, everything is out of sync. The more I mess around in ableton (all versions) the more it gets out of sync (it always starts with 6 ms delay). If I restart, it's back to 6 ms. I've tried with only one vst installed,...

Thanks a lot, that pretty much did the trick. However, I put a Trash between the compressor and the first saturator and tweaked it a bit, now it sounds as close as I could've hoped for. Again, thank you.

Well, that's about as far as I come too. But it's lacking that wide, almost vocode EQ:ed and bassy snap to it.

Ok, this is not a very odd sound at all, I just can't get it right myself, so now I need some assistance. Here's a clip, and it's the bass sound I'm out for. I love the creaky, powerful yet clean appearance and I guess you need both the right instrument and some nice FX on it, but I'm clueless here....

Would be nice to be able to flatten a midi to audio but have the ability to choose to keep the effects, only flatten the source of the sound.
