Apparently, there is a problem with some of the power supplies on the G5 iMacs. I just brought it in and the technician informed me that Apple had owned up to the problem, and the repair would be free. Mind you, this was not at an Apple store, rather an authorized Apple repair place...

Also, if it still turns on at all, you should back up everything of importance on an external drive right away because you never know...

Does it have anything to do with using a custom template set? (which I do...)

I have had the same problem. Regardless of preference settings: Clips recorded into Scene 1 are always reddish-brown, Scene 2 reddish-brown, scene 3 yellowish-brown.

Odd thing is that clips dragged from the browser do respond to preferences, but not newly recorded clips.

What gives?

Anyone have any idea how the Lemur will work with Live 6's Automap?

Could it work like the Remote SL, where you select a device and the controls (or some kind of template of controls) specific for that device automatically pop up on the Lemur? How customizable could it be?

But much of what I'm doing gets rather complex and layered, sometimes with intentionally odd lenghted/out of sync loops, and it's nice to have a visual reference of where "home" is.

Anyone have an idea of how to get a very large bar & beat display? I was thinking a dedicated lcd gadget (like they have to dispay SMPTE timecode) but i guess some software solution could work too. Would be helpful for live-looping, I find.

If you are refering to Novation Automap protocol, with regard to effects and instrument plugins, then the answer is no.
