How do people feel about the Elektron Octatrack? It seems kind of like a new 'generation' of hardware sampler, mixed with a Machine Drum. Pretty cool looking. It might be worth checking out if you want a hardware sampler.

I think if you buy a Kontrol 1 right now, NI is throwing in a free synth too (either Massive, Absynth, or FM8 if I remember). Pretty good deal.

Well, I'm not sure about Problem 1, but with 2, make sure when you Export, you choose 'Master', not 'All Tracks' in the 'Rendered Tracks' area. 'All Tracks' splits the song out into its individual stems

I'm guessing your budget it not huge if your going to spring for Ableton Intro, so I would recommend the M-Audio Axiom series. Great price, lots of features (knobs, pads, faders), good keys....

This thread has inspired me to go back and listen to Airdrawndagger. I forgot how much I love this album. It's been years since I've listened to it. It's holds up really well too. I'm going to be listening to it a lot over the next little bit I think.
