Hi Folks, i'm a noob when it comes to things Mac. What are the various wave editors out there? I'm used to Wavelab and SoundForge on the PC. Any recommendations for comparable tools on the Mac?

Just switched from PC to Macbook Pro. Mainly b/c I was sick of tech-supporting and reinstalling drivers during my valuable music time. The Mac runs beautifully - everything works when plugged in. I want to boost the volume of all the tracks in a set proportionately. Is there a way to group multiple tracks and then raise one slider, and the others raise as well but remain their relative "distances"?

Any ideas?

It would be nice to throw down some notes, and have it scroll forward in 16th notes, etc... Just easier when writing acid lines, etc.

didn't realize you have to save outside the ableton library folder for this to work!

When I use Collect and Save it gives me an hourglass but then doesn't save the files -- at least not within the set folder I've created. Anyone have this problem and know what's up?

i just added that to the feature wishlist. it's amazing how complex this tool is yet it doesn't do some basic stuff which would really put it over the top!

You should be able to put a bunch of clips on Audio track 1, assign them to a keyboard to trigger (or controller buttons) and in Track 2 Midi be able to play those notes on the keyboard so it triggers clips on Audio track 1. This would make audio track 1 into a monster sampler, which would use warpi...

is the macbook pro remarkably better than the macbook 2GHz?

Anyone have any recommendations of which one over the other? I want to stay economical and portability is key, also... so I'm into a smaller screen size and such... wondering if the extra money is worth it.

I dropped a clip into Impulse that, as a clip, is transposed up 12 steps... but as a clip, it stays on tempo. In impulse it didn't take this data with... and there doesn't seem to be one pitch shift knob. Sure I can transpose and then stretch, but this seems more cumbersome, less accurate, and tedio...
