Hi Folks, i'm a noob when it comes to things Mac. What are the various wave editors out there? I'm used to Wavelab and SoundForge on the PC. Any recommendations for comparable tools on the Mac?
thank you!

Switched
Just switched from PC to Macbook Pro. Mainly b/c I was sick of tech-supporting and reinstalling drivers during my valuable music time. The Mac runs beautifully - everything works when plugged in. So now my 2 hrs of music time is actually 2 hrs, as opposed to 1 1/2 hrs tech supporting and 1/2 hour mu...

Grouping Controllers/Volume
I want to boost the volume of all the tracks in a set proportionately. Is there a way to group multiple tracks and then raise one slider, and the others raise as well but remain their relative "distances"?
Any ideas?
thanks so much!

Stepping into record
It would be nice to throw down some notes, and have it scroll forward in 16th notes, etc... Just easier when writing acid lines, etc.

How do collect and save?
When I use Collect and Save it gives me an hourglass but then doesn't save the files -- at least not within the set folder I've created. Anyone have this problem and know what's up?

Trigger Audio Track with Midi Track
You should be able to put a bunch of clips on Audio track 1, assign them to a keyboard to trigger (or controller buttons) and in Track 2 Midi be able to play those notes on the keyboard so it triggers clips on Audio track 1. This would make audio track 1 into a monster sampler, which would use warpi...

Novation Zero SL Automap Drum Pads Triggers a Phantom Piano?
Hi, I just got the novation SL and when I assign the drum pads to trigger clips, a piano sound comes out upon trigger, then it launches the clip (on time, of course). I can't figure out where this is coming from!! I've muted all my tracks, even pulled the master all the way down, and yet that damn p...

Automation Back to Arrangement Toggle Problem - help!
Hi all, I am trying 6.0 and I've layed out my tracks in arrange view. I am using a controller to record automation. After I've done this, I can see that the envelope gets drawn overlaying the track (when I expand the track view). This envelope is highlighted in Red. When I play back the mix, the Bac...

macbook vs. macbook pro
is the macbook pro remarkably better than the macbook 2GHz?
Anyone have any recommendations of which one over the other? I want to stay economical and portability is key, also... so I'm into a smaller screen size and such... wondering if the extra money is worth it.
thanks!

How does one pitch shift in Impulse?
I dropped a clip into Impulse that, as a clip, is transposed up 12 steps... but as a clip, it stays on tempo. In impulse it didn't take this data with... and there doesn't seem to be one pitch shift knob. Sure I can transpose and then stretch, but this seems more cumbersome, less accurate, and tedio...
