If i'm gonna use a hardware controller anyway, why should i connect it to T2 instead of directly to Live or use T2 at all for that matter ?

You can get an old ipad 1st generation for cheap on second hand market and install touchAble 2 on it (it's fully compatible and works like a charm on 1st gen) and buy a Push, this way you'll get everything possible
