Re: korg nano questions:

Separate USB slot per device. The nanoKontrol is nice, given the price, especially with the script by nativeKontrol (nanoLive II) or the one made by Myralfur. Never tried to use it live, all plastic construction, but not that crappy. The nanoKey is awful, though. Way cheaper than the nanoKontrol, ba...

Currently listening, nice stuff 8) I swear I heard some dubby Ozric Tentacles stuff... is there a way to see the name of the tracks currently playing, or that have been played?

Re: Just got an Akai LPK25

I agree with the crappiness of the nanokey (on the other hand, my nanoKontrols are great, though). Shall be replaced soon by a LPK. Thanks for your feedback!

Re: Balanced Cables?

From what I read if they are less than 5-10m long, you won't notice the difference.

Re: Sorry for the neewb question but this is frustrating

Open the Creative Console Launcher. Mute every channel on the 'input' section of the console. On the bottom left, under the "recorder" section ("enregistreur" on my screenshot), make sure the input you want to record audio from is selected. Then, on Live, select your input, switc...

Re: The bane of my existence: Coming up with Artist Names

I have an always expanding list of names for acts, tracks, etc. Just read a lot, name things that surround you, and let the words resonate in your mind. If they sound right, mean something you like, etc, then use it.

Re: check out the schwarzonator

Actually I'm currently learning music theory, so I'm OK with the naming of the schwarzonator chords. But it would have been nice for music theory dummies to know what they are 'playing' with the help of the plugin. As it is, they will have no idea what they are doing — it completely subsitutes theor...

Re: Godin guitars, anyone?

I have no experience at all in MIDI guitar playing but I guess playing a real nylon is different from getting a Nylon sample to play from a MIDI guitar, right? I have no more experience than you but I assume there is a difference, yes. But to me using a MIDI acoustic guitar to play an acoustic guit...

Re: Godin guitars, anyone?

Do you think eBay would be risky? YES. I'm currently drooling over this kind of things. Me wants to midi-ize my 6-strings bass! Great. I can imagine. What about scratches when you change chords and only Guitar is playing? I have tested a Ramirez the other day (1200 Euros) and got scratches at every...
