Re: simpler/ basic sampling questions
In fact there is something about Simpler that I wish was in Sampler...been a while since i used either as samplers in the strictest sense but I think it was that the loop start point can't be automated or mapped in Sampler where as it can in Simpler. something like that? Either way, I think they bot...

Re: The Consumer Headphones Effect...
Actually reading through...I now feel I need more than one set of headphones... 8O I don't. :D Dont blame me! :) I first got AKG240 ages ago, then needed an extra set for vocalists and instrumentalists to use (isolating and have a cutoff switch to stop bleed) and as a second set for other things an...

Re: Dither Options
Many different interpretations.
I always prefer type 2 on my music, I chose that by rendering 3 versioj using the 3 pow-r noise shaping dither types and asking some listeners. general consensus that drums seemed better defined with type 2...but frankly I couldnt hear much difference myself...

Re: simpler/ basic sampling questions
You can change the root note to get the sample to fit the actual note, yes.
You cannot preserve the length of the sample as you change pitch in Live, no.

Re: The Consumer Headphones Effect...
I think the simple asnwer is that consumer headphones are designed to flatter the music, but their actual success in doing that varies greatly usually depending on how much you paid for them. For studio and monitoring use I think its subjective. I guess most people wouldnt buy more than one paid of ...

I don't use a step sequencer but the damn thing rocks in the studio, I love producing with it.

Re: EIC2 and Session Drums
ah, OK. I think the main thing to get your head around is the use of the multimic kits in session drums. Once you get your head round them they can be good fun, but you can spend a lot of time fiddling...
