Re: Push & APC MKII Simultaneously
Is there really no way to do this currently? I was considering this setup myself. It seems pretty dumb that you wouldn't be able to accomplish this. Push as the instrument, APC as the clip launcher.

Re: Ableton Live 10
1. Another one here for a pop out midi editor. Would be so much nicer than the cramped up situation we've got going now. 2. Stability from day one or at least month six. 3. PDC, VST3 support. (That's the basic shit.) 4. Note auditioning in Push's step sequencer. Option for rotaries to be precise. (M...

Re: So many drums. So little need.
In my opinion the 909 outshines most other drum sounds that have come after it and that's the main reason you hear it and so many copycat sounds. The deep bass and subtle click of the bass drum just appeals to people who listen to techno and house. You don't fix what isn't broken. Not that I haven't...

Re: Why use a synth arp instead of a DAW arp?
Bazille's step sequencer has the "divide" function which leads to possibilities I can't get through Live. And what he said^^

Re: Live 9.2 wish list (I know this soon?)
A stable Live is my wish. No CPU spikes, no samples randomly being dropped. It seems like after two years my 800 dollar investment should work as advertised.

Re: Richie Hawtin you idiot.
Yo, techno is eighties man. Cybotron (Juan Atkins) released their first single in '81. No UFO's came out in 1985. Techno is NOT a 90's thing though it definitely became more popular in that time. Maybe Aphex Twin is fudging a bit but really that album sounds like 80's to me. Speaking of Richie Hawti...

Re: Richie Hawtin you idiot.
So disappointing to see techno taking a trashing like this on the Ableton forum. I was an IDM guy for a long time (still am) and talked my fair share about regular techno being boring and simple. Then I grew up and realized that everything I liked was inspired by techno and I traced the sounds and i...

I got twenty seconds in before the Vengeance drums dropped. Then I had to make it stop.

Re: Using Utility to Remove Kick Drums from a Track
If you're going to lay your kicks in the same places as the original you could also sidechain the mix to your kick drum and have it duck out a bit where your kicks are. Kind of ghetto but it can have a cool effect.

Re: Which piece of studio equipment gets on your nerves the most
Live is giving me tons of shit lately! Whatever version I'm on it won't let me use the computer keyboard to input midi on tracks loaded with Live instruments and every time I load a drum rack it automatically puts a convolution reverb on the track. I don't have a good internet connection right now s...

I guess you're right. Thought I had a 2013 but apparently it's a 2012. Shit.

Re: Buying new MacbookPro Processor vs Ram.
Updating your own RAM on any MBP after the 2012 non-retina model is not possible. Keep that in mind! Also the difference between i5 and i7 mostly comes down to a core count as both are plenty fast, but the i5s usually come in their dual core variants, while the i7s are always quad cores. For a prog...
