Re: Ableton for IPhone

hey iFanboys - reality check, Live barely runs on a 1GHz dual core machine with 1Gb of RAM. the iPhone runs on an ARM processor (IOW a different processor at a very fundamental level than our computers) at 620MHz at the fastest and only has 128Mb of RAM. Live will NEVER run on an iPhone, people hav...

Would be more useful if it had some MIDI export features.

Re: Ableton for IPhone

I would do anything to have that. Beatmaker is serviceable, though. Here's a video of me playing a show using Beatmaker to trigger/sequence loops exported from my Ableton projects. I just have beatmaker-->mini-KP-->mixer and a bunch of pedals on the mixer's sends: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZSi...

Re: How did you guys get started performing gigs?

What kind of gigs/parties do you go to? Do you know who puts them on? Get to know those people. Make sure they see your face when you're out. I got EXTREMELY lucky for my first show. I was really early to see Velapene Screen one night and I was sitting at the bar talking to a dude before the party a...

Re: Bus record vs. internal bounce: BIG DIFFERENCE

I've noticed a similar thing wtih the Automat softsynth. I think it has more to do with the plugin with Ableton. I don't use that plugin anymore.

I use a USB hub for my X-Session and Oxygen 8, and when I had a nanoPad I hooked it up to the same hub, and I never had a problem with latency or anything else.

I definitely am. Loud bonks appeal to me. I am especially looking to experiment with grabbing some audio loops from whatever I'm doing in Collision, slicing to MIDI, and further mangling.

I'm throwing my contact mics in the garbage.*

*not really.

Do you know a similarly easy way to assign all similar parameters to the same macro knob in one go?
I wish.

Re: Adjusting similar parameters in Drum Rack?

Adjust one of them to the value you want, right click, choose "copy value to siblings," it's done.

You could use return tracks. Routing every single slice to a different output that way would be a pain, but if you just want to have different slices to the first 4 outputs on a firebox, just make 4 return tracks that each go to those outputs and send each slice to the appropriate return track.

I have two devices.... one is a theremin that i've got running through a pd patch that converts the pitch in real time to a midi control signal. Works great for altering stuff like LFO and volume, but pitch control would be good too. The other device i have is a full-range keyboard with no pitch wh...

That has NOTHING to do with power noise.

Power-noise is electronic noise made with homemade oldschool electronics.
I think you're thinking of Power Electronics. Maybe I'm wrong, though. Genres can be a headache, but that's why god gave us wikipedia.
