Re: QuNeo x-y pads
I know iPad apps probably could do this, but I need to be able to work without looking down on a screen to check the correct position of my fingers, so they are out of the running for now) ... BTW, I would not rule out the iPad (or other tablet) to early! With TouchOSC it's very easy to configure 8...

Re: QuNeo x-y pads
...sorry, i was'nt clear enough, i use the Quneo (allmost) exclusivly in '64-pads' mode, exactly because i have no Push and want to reproduce some of its functionality with the Quneo. Someone should actually do a Push-emulator script for the Quneo and call it 'Putsch' :D And yeah, i think latching i...

Re: QuNeo x-y pads
Is the x-y functionality even a continous parameter? The guy in the store said that it's basically just one pressure point in the middle and 4 in each corner, without anything in between. Is that true?! ...actualy i suppose there are only 4 pressure points per pad. The rest is just arithmetics in t...

Re: QuNeo x-y pads
...why not use actual joypads? They are super cheap, and if you use a saw to cut off their 'horns' the can be arranged in a compact layout (Don't use the ones with 'rumble', they have the motor in the horns). Lots of buttons too. You need a usb-hub though, and some cabling, and some intermediary sof...

... you might also consider bypassing Python alltogether.
Use LiveOSC as a blackbox and use the Programming Language of your choice to send OSC-commands.
Works great for me!

loading a Set with piano & some other samples:
Live 8 (32bit): 50 seconds
Live 9 (32bit): 2 minutes 50 seconds !!!

.... regarding faders:
first try is always contact cleaner spray (don't know how this is called in english)
often works wonders! (at least for some time )
(same goes for regular pots, but for these you have to open the device)

Re: Live 9 32 AND 64 at the same time ?
... the question is:
Do a 32-bit installation in Win32 *and* a 64-bit in Win64 on the *same* computer count as *one* install or as *two* ?
(i.e. hardware-id is the same, OS is different)
So that you still can use Live on the notebook?

Re: Live 9 and OSC
anybody knows if liveOSC would work on L9? i very much hope so! Ableton would be in for a shitstorm if they break backward compatibility. Not so much because of LiveOSC, apparently few people are actually using it, but breaking LiveOSC would probably mean, i suppose, breaking TouchOSC and Lemur for...

Re: Free software
What exactly happened here tho? A free upgrade from Lite to Live? .... ... well, the coupon is 30E not 300 ... but anyway, the letdown quickly followed the joy! "... or on any other Ableton software product" doesn't include upgrades :( May be, i can use it for Max4Live. If i don't find a ...

Re: Free software
Hi cmreal04 ... thnx a lot, i didn't really expect, this was really real-4-0 :D Like second christmas! And it comes in very handy, as -no joke- i decided on friday to finally upgrade my Live-Intro to the real thing, despite some nagging disappointment about Live9. And i like to try out the Korg lega...

Re: Free software
hello cmreal04
... for real ??
I would be more than happy to use your coupon for upgrading my life, err live!
Eventually I would be interested in the 'Legacy Collection', it that is what is bundled. But may be someone could make better use of it.

Re: Splitting MIDI signals
...not sure what you want. Control two programms with one controller simultaniously? Dead easy!
Just use a multiclient MIDI-loopback like 'LoopMIDI' or 'MidiYoke' and you're done. If on different computers then CopperLAN may help.
