Not sure.
Bigger question:
How should the Mira version work, given that it doesn't yet support matrixctrl at all?

Re: Push developer kit: M4L devices for Push!
Only being in the habit of disabling Push-centric devices before we delete them.
(Again, it is not necessary to select "off" from the drop-down menu. Toggling the device itself is sufficient)

Re: User Mode
(That may not be entirely true, but figure everyone hanging out in the Ableton forum is more interested in using it with Live. If you're looking for support in other DAWs, you should try the other DAWs' forums)

Re: User Mode
I don't see using it directly in another DAW, but indirectly, you could certainly write something in max/msp to re-map the buttons to scales and such. And you can set the LCDs w/ sysex. And so forth. In fact, that approach gives you poly aftertouch (pressure on a per-button basis) that isn't possibl...

Re: Is it possible to save push scales in an ableton project?
Nice. ClyphX handles all of my scale selecting needs and restores a bunch of "missing" functionality from Live. Not sure how I lived without this before.

Re: HID Device for Gamepads - Mapping to drum racks/other funct.
Amount of buttons will match. Type of buttons, not so much. PS3 controller provides an amazing amount of data. Nearly every button is analog, and I believe provides 8 bit (0-255) values. This includes the four buttons of the d-pad itself. In practical terms, none of that is relevant. But the patch t...

Re: Is it possible to save push scales in an ableton project?
It would be nicer still to automate scale changes and trigger those mid-song through a follow action.
For now, we're only dreaming.

Re: MaxScore/LiveScore 0.5 released
That's $55 for a student license. $120 for developers in general. That is odd, though. The end user isn't a developer. So, I'd expect the license LiveScore paid for to include provisions for distribution. Why would anyone license the right to develop with it if that wasn't the case? Or am I misreadi...

Re: Can I midi lean the steps of the monosequencer?
emergencyofstate is building a monome front end for it. You might have better luck deconstructing his work? http://monome.org/community/discussion/16318/new-controller-app-for-mono-sequencer-maxforlive Side note: Someone should really build a Livid Code interface for monosequencer, or a BCR2000 one.

Re: 4 Sequent Groups?
Option 1:
Get crazy with the MIDI "scale" device.
Option 2:
Get crazy with max for live.
Option 3:
Re-order the slots in your Launchpad based drum rack to reflect standard note order.
Note: Option 1 probably won't work.

Re: Arduino and M4L question (quite urgent...)
I've only heard of one person successfully getting the arduino to work as a class compliant MIDI controller. http://jazarimusic.com/finally-a-diy-midi-controller-with-purpleheart (He links to an article explaining his workarounds, in the comments). If you don't mind running software to receive seria...

flocked,
This has probably been brought to your attention already, but I just noticed that [p push_scene_buttons] doesn't respond to the "all" command anymore. ("set" still works, no problem.)

Re: catanya-like pattern based polyphonic arpeggiator
Actually, Thomasch is absolutely correct about the dial mode. It will still be drawable, and much less strange than what I was describing. Essentially, there are three states. 0, 1 and 2. * Click and drag away from a 0 square, and you're drawing in 1. * Click and drag away from a 1 square, and you'r...

Re: Push developer kit: M4L devices for Push!
To clarify: You're not running a monome emulator on the Push hardware. Nor is Push communicating with any monome protocol, at all. What you are doing is replacing the monome communications in a monome app with an equivalent connection to the Push hardware. (Did you download polygome? Note how it doe...
