Re: The new partner instruments

Hi,

it seems the audio player on the Ableton website is currently broken.

You can listen to the demos via the Soundcloud website:

Sorry about that.

Re: Partner Instruments

Given the recent 'get racks and no instrument access' philosophy we saw in Live 8 sound library, can I assume you do not need to own any Live instruments to use Partner Instruments? I know Konkrete 1/2 use Instrument Racks and Simpler, as do most of PureMagnetik's packs. I tihnk it's safe to say th...

Re: Partner Instruments

@db Not the Sonic Couture stuff, I know that for sure. They are simply sample libraries. Unless you 'enhanced' them with live8 specific FX. Actually all these Live Packs include fully programmed instrument racks with Live effects and macro mappings. Soniccouture has completely redesigned their pres...

Most of these sounds make use of new Live 8 instruments and effects.

Re: OT: Cycling ... as in... riding bikes... as in... bicycles

Hi everyone,

a sort-of related question here: Does anyone know a good bike shop/ rental around Anaheim CA, Laguna Beach or anywhere nearby?

I'll be heading over tomorrow and would like to rent a road bike for a week.

Any suggestions welcome!

Thanks.

Re: Latin percussion

Hi,

which version of Live/Suite do you use?

In Drum Rack/Latin Percussion, you should have several "Latin Percussion Kit A-E" presets that contain the full mapping over the entire key range.

Re: 8.0.9 - suite rack presets now usable for non-suite owners

Hi, these Suite Racks are yet another goodie for all Live 8 Users. They can be played fully and you can tweak their Macros. The inherited instruments are hidden unless you own the device. Sorry, we haven't been able to announce this more clearly. Live 8 already had a few Suite racks from the beginni...

It would also be great to have the clock setting stored with the pattern :-)

Re: [sharing] ml-px-18

ooops, try again: http://www.monolake.de/ml-px-18.amxd.zip This is great. I love the swing setting per step. Wishes: - MIDI Thru - global delay control I personally would present the base pitch, time and a global delay as a 17th column. I've added the global delay in this variation just to try: htt...

Re: How to disconnect a live.remote~

Hi, live.object has the advantage that it doesn't zombie the target parameter, but it has one major disadvantage: It spills into the undo history. So it isn't really usable for continuous automation IMO. Imagine you accidentally delete a device while the set is playing with automation to live.object...

Re: Randomizer and Parameter LFO download

I've programmed some crazy sounds for Tension. Sounds that have a life on their own. But doing it manually was a lot of trial and error to say the least. With your nifty randomizer, I got what is one of the craziest sounds to come out of tension. It kinda sounds like a jackhammer, a drill, a woodpe...

Re: Randomizer and Parameter LFO download

no i just place it before the rack to randomize the 8 values mapped. Should it work in this way? When i hit randomize it changes the values of the rack, but i can't get any audio out of it. If i reset the randomize to 0 then i get audio. I will check it again later when i get home. The Randomizer m...

Re: Randomizer and Parameter LFO download

Thank you! They're both great, only thing, if i use the randomizers with instrument/audio racks, i don't get any audio from the devices. With instruments/effects everything is fine. Are you placing the Randomizer inside the Rack? As far as I know, the Live API does not reach inside Rack chains. Pla...
