Re: Help My Music!

Is this a joke thread?

someones really come here asking for money to buy ableton?

because they wamt to dial in the synths

If youve been making music for years than could you not reinvest in some software, for your own benefit?

this IS a joke thread isnt it?

Re: Finding my voice.

I think of it like throwing a ball at a target. If you think too much you will always miss and get frustrated. If you dont think about it and just throw it you will probably hit the target. If your target is making music than you need to create music without thinking too much. you want to avoid that...

Re: Live... upside down?

I like it the way it is. Once you've started on a track and fill the screen (relative to the zoom), from then onthe end of the clips you are working on is on the right , next to the channels. so other then the moment you start, the rest of the time the bit you are working on will be on the right bec...

Re: How to make music with Creative Ease

Interesting view of things mate. I had a little aha moment too while reading it. I'm guilty of over complicating my thought processes and making myself stressed when thinking about what to do muscially. I suffer from anxiety attacks occationally, they come without warning. But I allow myself to feel...

Re: Vocals in time

to my ears, the guy's vocal is a bit fast for the track, which isn't such a problem until it goes on for more than a couple of bars, which makes the polyrhythm get too mashed.. plus there's no tieing together of the different speeds.. no conclusion or resolution, so the tension between them never g...

Re: Vocals in time

Do you think the timing issues are just with the vocal or do you think they are present in the music too?

Maybe the synth filter sweeps are are little out too.

Would you suggest warping? I tried it but I didnt like the sound. It sounds kind of wobbly or like stutters ,but I could be doing it wrong

Re: Do you get tired of your songs when working on them?

The problem I have found is that say I'm working on a track, ive been dipping in and out of working on it but always at least an hour or 2 per day, sometimes I dont like bits anymore so I change them. Problem is, is it because it isnt good or is it because ive heard the same bits of audio looped for...

Re: Back to Arrangement

Say you create some filter automation using the cutoff on a plug in. You then go back into the plug in interface and start changing the cutoff. Because you decided the starting point and how the filter changes on the arrangement view, ableton keeps your automation unchanged, but allows you to hear t...
