Re: I'd like to delete all the sounds n presets I don't like
. . Not a fan of the new browser at all though. . . Like why can i only have one folder open at a time in the browser tree? WTF was the point of changing that behavior? is there any way to force ableton to sort this out? their browser went from the worst browser to WORSE??!! is there a way to start...

live 9 browser folder behaviour
hello ableton users, the new live 9 browser needs help. firstly, searching for a sound (say, "bass" or "loop") presents you with a bunch of folders that the sound is in. not good, i want the sound not the folder it's in. 0/10 secondly, what is it with the flitting around. when i ...

Re: Noise Reduction without external plugins
is it hum? or noise, like 'air' or 'hiss'? will other tracks be mixed with it? how clean does it need to be? you can do some eq'ing, look at a frequency chart for the human voice, very little under 150-300hz for human speech. and then some important spikes at around 4k and 8k, little beyond that fo...

Re: Noise Reduction without external plugins
if it is constant and exactly repeating (highly unlikely) and you have the exact noise independent of the mixed noise, then yes, you will get some reduction. what kind of noise is it? Thank you! It's a background noise from microphone which sounds constant. I've tried this: 1st track - the speach w...

http://youtu.be/IVMTIRXEbq8?t=4m Starts at 4 minutes. It's Thavius Beck demonstrating the repitch/freeze features on the ping pong delay. Now if the Abes don't know what's in their own product... You have to start wondering if there's actual reason for concern. Maybe all the talent truly did jump s...

Re: Noise Reduction without external plugins
Hi! Can I achieve noise reduction in Ableton Live without external plugins? Probably playing with the phase of the noise sample? if it is constant and exactly repeating (highly unlikely) and you have the exact noise independent of the mixed noise, then yes, you will get some reduction. what kind of...

Re: Complex warp modes to not artifact the sound
Both software , Traktor and Live use the same 3rd party software. Elastique from z-plane - None of our partners is able to directly change the quality of élastique and in general, the quality is very similar if not identical. But you are correct, it can happen that it sounds different in different ...

Re: Complex warp modes to not artifact the sound
Maybe you're warping in a bad way because when i use complex on whole song (have done yesterday a dj set) and everything sounds beautiful not really. you don't have to warp 'badly' for complex mode to struggle with the sharp hit of a bright and heavy kick drum (the kind most dance music uses). I ca...

Re: Complex warp modes to not artifact the sound
Yes even with Hi Q on. there's a big difference between complex and complex pro, pro being better for 'fuller' mixes, with a wide range of tone/pitch. if you can't hear the difference, and there's a lot of kick drum, use beat. alternatively, to avoid the softening of the kick in complex modes, you ...

will live 9 do these things?
All in ARRANGEMENT window... When hiding the browser, live will reveal what would be under the tracks rather than what it does now, which is tug the view leftwards. When using alt + right/left arrow tabbing to files in the arrangement window, albleton will put the selection more central on the scree...

maintain clip colour and/or waveform when deactivated
Feature Request... in arrangement view, deactivating a clip makes the entire clip go blank, including the colour in the name box. it would be REALLY useful to be able to still see a greyed out waveform of the deactivated clip and/or the colour of the clip. i notice that currently, when you move a de...

Re: EQ8 & Auto Filter adding 'Colour' to live set.
take a read of the "neutral" operations section of the manual.
yes, they colour the sound.
right click on the eq8 and there is an option to enable "high quality".
the real damage is coming from auto filter.
good luck.
