OK no answer from Ableton but I found a way to install the packs without crashing : totally deactivate 3rd party VTS in the setting window. Weird because my project doesn't have any VST loaded tho...

I have tried to load a Totally empty project before installing the packs, but no luck. I have sent a crags report, I'll update this post when I get some news from the good people of ableton

When installing Live 9, can I actually install MaxforLive at the same time ? I mean, I have never launched Live 9 yet. So everything will get authorized at the same time. Or should I launch Live 9 first, then close it, then install Maxforlive, then re-launch Live 9 ?

On cubase there is something cool : auto crop audio.
If an audio file has some blank information between musical part, it can be automatically cut and thrown away. On ableton live, I have to manually cut then crop sample.
Is there any tool to do it automatically like in cubase?

hum I just discovered how to make a live pack ^^ I never bothered with that before.

That might be a good solution, after a collect all and save, to pack a finished project.
