I've seen some discussion of this previously, but wanted to start a new thread to see if this has been resolved for anyone. I can confirm the same problem here, using a 2015 Macbook Pro, 2.9Ghz i5, 16GB RAM. 20% CPU used by push2displayprocess. What a joke! I can't run most of the sets I'm working on with Push 2 turned on. Really? 20% of a CPU to run a display? There's got to be some major problem going on with this soft...

I mean preset object. -- was hoping to be able to save the 'mapping's in presets, e.g.

preset 1 has knob one mapped to volume
preset 2 has knob one mapped to pan

etc.

Thanks for getting back! Sorry if I didn't make myself clear - the preset system saves knob positions just fine - I was hoping I might get it to save what each knob is *mapped to* in the preset - would this be possible?

Thanks, getting closer - I've found what was missing was a .js script and maxpat, hidden away in the Max folder 'Max for Live Devices' ... so I got it working in a new audio device, just got to achieve the same in a MIDI device now..

Does anyone know how M4L differentiates between audio and MIDI devices? Is there a flag I can flip anywhere?

Hmm so I'm getting somewhere - made a bpatcher and copied subpatch in. Mapping works as expected. Only problem now the map doesn't get labelled! >< Confused...
