Re: Laptop/Desktop Folder Setup
Hi, So, in setting up an Ableton library of Samples, VSTs, and plugins, I'm curious in the best setup for sync work across a desktop and laptop computer. There are 2 major questions: 1) Ableton itself- I am going to license two copies of the program, to desktop/laptop, but how can I keep the intern...

Re: Backup System Question
My entire music library and my Ableton library are both synced between my two computers via dropbox. It works like a dream. It means I can work on a live set on my desktop; and then pick up my macbook pro and play it straight off. No need to copy an files / collect all and save etc etc. It's not fre...

Re: Tips - effective beatmatching
Thanks, I’ll look into the warping again. Is it necessary for me to manually change BPMs for each track when I warp or should I just leave them as is since I already set the minimum? The genre is RnB, but remixed versions Normally you don't have to manually set the BPM at all. You find the first be...

Re: Presets are not showing up in "Places" section (live10)
It's not clear from your description what is really going wrong. Can you post screenshots? Any presets you save should show up *automatically* in Places-> User Library-> Presets If they don't show up, make sure your search field at the very top of the browser is empty: if there is anything in the se...

Re: Tips - effective beatmatching
Basic thing is to get the warping right. Are you sure you've got that sorted? If you've got that right, you don't need ClipNudge

Re: Tips - effective beatmatching
Tracks can sometimes go slightly out even after they have been warped. A sign of this is that the kick (if this is e.g. techno) drifts slightly out of alignment with the bar as you scroll through the song. What you can do is click on the warp marker where the beginning of the kick drum is (zoom, ALL...

Inexpensive Alternatives to Loopback [solved]
Hi everyone
I often find myself wanting to record audio into Live from an internet source, e.g. Youtube etc.
I have been using Loopback's demo, but I can't afford the full licence price.
Is there any other software that can be used to re-route audio from another source into the Live ins?
thanks!

Re: Duplicate...does not duplicate
Live does not have 'per note automation'. In other words, parameters are not stored as part of the note.

Takeover mode problem has disappeared. Pickup now works. STC is still a great tool. I do hope some with tech knowledge can keep maintaining itre:dream wrote:Any chance of value scaling and pickup becoming possible for takeover mode? Re: Live posts weird values in 'Seg BPM'
ie: Live detected this as a transient.. why? maybe that's where the transient "should" be in relation to the others.. maybe part of the kick is muted or there's production ducking part of the audio.. my point was it can be difficult to find a transient sometimes.. but you know how to warp...
