Re: Ableton and sending MIDI to trigger QUNEO LED's...

I'm not too familiar with Max but now I have a reason to learn. I'll keep ya'll posted if you want to be. A few tips... To parse the notes, you need these 3 objects: Midiin; midiparse; route. Basically, midi going into the device (notes) will come out of the "midiin" object - plug that in...

Re: The new Mac Pro

Love the design and very pleasing on the eye - unfortunately I will looking from a distance as I would fully imagine I will be priced out of even thinking about getting one. As someone mentioned, even getting current peripheral devices interfacing with it alone would put you off. I know they are try...

Re: Vienna Ensemble Pro

After using VEP for a couple of weeks, I thought I'd post back on my experiences thus far. It really integrates seamlessly in my setup! I thought one of the issues I might have is matching the version of the track I open in my DAW with the mixer setup, but to my surprise, the mixer settings save as ...

Re: Ableton and sending MIDI to trigger QUNEO LED's...

You don't necessarily need to make a script. You could create a M4L device to do the mapping - basically a more advanced version of the Live's pitch midi effect you tried to use already. You can parse each midi note separately and transpose the value according to the LED mapping diagrams in the prev...

See this post:

I didn't really do too much work after that as I started using the soundtower vst.

Re: Bump for NRPN support

You can handle NRPN's in M4L. I created a DSI Tetra editor and it work pretty well:

Re: Vienna Ensemble Pro

I ordered it today as I simply have to sort my Logic issue out one way or another. Hopefully I can set up my controllers the way I want as an added bonus.

Re: Vienna Ensemble Pro

I've had some problems in the past, where in order to circumnavigate issues (and looping inconsistencies) with certain plugins hosted in VEP (IIRC it was two instances of Maschine and Kore) I've had to run VEP plugin in the 'zero latency' mode. This basically meant that Live used the same amount of...

Re: M4L MIDI Lib - Unrestricted MIDI I/O

I tried a similar set of java objects before and they did not do what I wanted them to. I think it was something to do with not being able to specify more than one output channel, something like that - was a long time ago. Will definitely check these out to see if they work. I ended up going down th...

Re: Vienna Ensemble Pro

I don't have the answer to your question. But, just to let you know, Live uses CPU on a one track per core basis. So track 1 on core 1, track 2 on core 2 ... Logic does as well, but when monitoring, it behaves differently. Can you confirm Live does not? Or indeed for multi-out instances of Kontakt....

Re: Vienna Ensemble Pro

interesting. Yesterday I was thinking about nearly the same. Curious about other comments. But I don´t know if there are many Live users working with Vienna stuff I wouldn't have thought many would be using Vienna instruments either - I don't myself! The thing I like about Ensemble is that while it...

Vienna Ensemble Pro

Has anyone used Vienna Ensemble Pro with Live? I have a few reasons for asking. First, there has been a multitude of posts regarding PDC and it looks to me like Ensemble pro handles this very well - the idea being that you load third party plugins in Ensemble pro rather than Live. Also, I have read ...

Re: Midi record- Wait for note

I'm not in my studio, but think this should work. Place the device as the first device in your effect chain on a midi track. Arm the track. Set the "Slot No" to whatever slot you want to record into and toggle the device on. Start playing. I set it so that immediately after recording is ar...
