Re: 8.1.3???
We can't realistically expect new versions of Live, which are intended to sort out certain bugs, and problems, to work with every older 3rd party plugin anymore. I think this isn't an unrealistic request, particularly if the same plug-in is working well in another host. Users should and do expect t...

Re: 8.1.3???
I'm struggling to understand some of the complaints here. We can't realistically expect new versions of Live, which are intended to sort out certain bugs, and problems, to work with every older 3rd party plugin anymore. In order to fix some bugs, changes need to be made, that may mean older 3rd part...

Re: routing to get a 3rd party compressor to sidechain
Did you have the track with the SC compressor set to monitor on?
Bouncing/resampling the kick and having on a seperate track sending audio to the SC comp'd track would make more sense as it'll still drive the comp when the drum is not present in the track at any point.

Re: routing to get a 3rd party compressor to sidechain
There might be an easier way to do this, but one option would be: turn up the send level to full on an empty send on the kick channel send the audio from the return channel to the channel you have the sidechain compressor on. That way you get to hear your original kick channel, but it also drives th...

Re: Tell me your workflow for producing glitchy stuff!
Not sure what kind of miracle you were hoping somebody to post.... The Slice to midi function is about the quickest there is without cheating. Right click on an audio clip in session view, select slice to midi, select a template, and other settings, it then chops up your audio into as many pieces as...

Re: Studio Headphone
I've had the AKG k701s for 3 years. They are pretty amazing. Very comfy, lightweight and a very clean, balanced sound. I have actually mastered in them a lot, of course with monitor checks, but they are pretty flat in terms of response. Like any monitors or headphones, it takes time to get used to t...

Re: Remixing, getting hold of master recording?
If it's an official remix then the artist gives the remixer the seperate parts. If it's not an official remix, then people just tend to isolate the vocal, with either a plugin, or a load of filter and phase techniques, or just mash parts of the song into their own work. All depends on the song, and ...

You could try using one of the Nativekontrol patches for the APC40, it's basically a packaged bome's patch, it'll retain your automapping functionality, plus add a load of other useful functionality.

Re: Any way to download 8.0.9
Dragging tracks work? I thought I tried this and it didn't.. not sure if it was 8.0.9 to 8.1 or what.. Dragging tracks from one version of Live to an earlier version does not work. Just tried with 8.1.1 to 8.0.9 If you can get that to work, you've got some voodoo going on that I don't know about. I...

Dragging tracks does work, it's got me out of a few corrupt project situations in 8.1scientist wrote:i'm pretty sure it doesn't work.outershpongolia wrote:Dragging tracks work? I thought I tried this and it didn't.. not sure if it was 8.0.9 to 8.1 or what..
I'm on OSX, but I don't see any reason why it would be OS specific.

Re: Any way to download 8.0.9
Not an ideal solution, but: install 8.09 open 8.09 - leave it on the blank new project it opens with browse your projects folder using the browser and expand the project that you were having trouble with in 8.1.x drag the tracks (one by one) into the empty new project you have open - drop them on th...

Re: Why still audio and midi tracks and not audiomidi tracks?
Could you be more specific? Like name the plug-in(s) you are trying to use and how? there are several plugins like bluecat's audio that analyses audio to generate a midi enveloppe or trigger for example, than can be routed to any parameter then, or im more after using UsineFreeVsti that allow crasy...

It doesn't support mp3. You'll need either Live Intro, or the full version of live to play, and import mp3s.

The latest version of MLR V has a big fat rewire button, that does all the work for you, just press it, and bam, all synched and routed.

I don't know about their digital services for 3rd party retailers, we use ioda for that, which gives us realtime reporting etc. I guess the difference in using nimbit is that you have everything in one place, and don't have to handle shipping etc yourself. If you have a look a the platform page on t...
