Re: Mysterious Random

Random is a pragmatic description, not theoretical. You can buy special plugin cards for computers that use thermionic valves to create analogue noise which is 'more random' than anything a chip can produce, but that's kinda nutty. There's probably other ways that are more 'quantum'.

Re: RME Babyface overkill for my setup/needs?

Some of the interfaces you mention are USB1.1 limiting the transfer rate. So you can't both listen and record at high bit rates. BabyFace supports USB2, which is betterer. Re: Is the M-Audio Fast Track any good?

Lol, just check the rest of the thread. It was like going back in time! But FWIW, Firewire doesn't have significant advantages in speed, and you also read a lot about incompatibilities between different Firewire chipsets. If you search these forums you will find evidence that certain soundcards (Pre...

I own Fast Track Pro, never had a single problem with it. Plugged it in, it worked, never stopped, no trouble whatsoever

Christmas Songs

There should surely be a thread, so here goes.

A little bit of Christmas silliness: I made you a song, all traditional and carol singing like.

Happy Holidays Peoples!

Silent Night
