Yeh that's what's happening to me too pev... i'm 99% sure it was because I tried the upgrade page before I had unlocked live 4 with my serial...

never thought i'd say this but can't it be monday already? !!!!!!!

I bought Live 4 after June 1, so I got an email this morning saying my Live 5 serial number was available at www.ableton.com/upgrade So I went there feeling quite good! :) But after entering my Live 4 serial on there, it asked me what pack I'd like to upgrade to, and all my credit card details etc.....

Just a quick question... the Live 5 page sez: "All customers who unlock Live 4 for the first time from June 1, 2005 until the final release day of Live 5 will receive a version 5 serial number on release day at no charge." So do people who bought Live 4 after June1 get a v5 box (CD, manual...

This would be a really cool feature to have in Live... User-assignable key-commands is one of the things that makes Logic & Cubase so powerful, and having this at our disposal in Live would be absolutely ace!

2 big & kinda related feature requests: 1) allowing the global swing setting to modify the grid, so that audio can be chopped & quantised according to the global swing setting... atm if the project is at 25 swing and you chop up & edit audio loops on the arrange page, it snaps/quantises ...

Since we're all in new-feature mode, i thought i'd throw my 2 cents in :) 1) bounce/record in 32bit floating - i'm assuming ableton's audio engine calculates at 32bit floating, so being able to record (particularly within a project from track to track or for resampling the master) and bounce in 32bi...

for u guys who got in quick, what's the cpu hit like when using flac files? how much greater is the hit compared to wav or mp3?

doing it that way is definately a great step, however i still think having a tempo solumn in the session view would be a more user friendly way of managing tempos of scenes, not to mention it would also allow u to drop tempo changes while clips are playing...

I've suggested this before as an improvement to live, but this time i've thought of a workable way to do it :D In session view, have a column running down the very left hand side of the available tracks, to the left of the first available track but on the right of the folders tab... use that column ...

i've managed to make this plug work again, and the problem is simple... if u use tempo sync, the plugin won't work properly when u set the tempo to "auto", however manually setting it to whatever the master tempo is works flawlessly... basically looks like buffer override has a problem aut...

I'm using Windows XP so it might be a bug that is specific to that platform... I'm pretty sure that i'm using the latest version of buffer override that is posted on smartelectronix but i'll grab it again & check... if there's a way for you to test on windows then please do because not being abl...

all my mates are having the same problem with buffer override and live 4.04... when setting coordinates on the X/Y controller in the middle of the plugin window, you either get no processing of the sound or horrible distortiony noise...

help!

using buffer override in live works like a charm, but as of 4.04 i've noticed the plugin doesn't work properly... the sound isn't processed at all... anyone else noticing this?
