Re: KORG ER-1 - keeps losing sync in Ableton
Hoping someone can help me here... Not used my ER-1 in a long time and decided to give a blast yesterday, however that didn't last long as I couldn't for the life of me get it to keep in sync with Ableton. I have the clock on the ER-1 set to External. I have the MIDI OUT on my Komplete Audio 6 goin...

Re: Ableton Link. It's not just for apps anymore.
THIS is a reason Link could be useful. I mean rewire is OK, but to be able to use two systems, two processors, lots of ram etc it adds to the possibility of sharing a project with a mate's laptop. Apps and things dont really interest me but this does. +1. I could care less about apps as well. This ...

Re: Ableton Link. It's not just for apps anymore.
Wow!! I am super amp'd about this! I just downloaded Reason 9.1 and not only does Link work with a computer running Live and another computer running Reason, it will also work if you're running Live and Reason on the same computer! This is absolutely ingenious. It's like Ableton and Propellerhead go...

Re: is there a way to launch a clip from clip view on push?
Press the "session" button then the desired clip to launch. yes of course but i was hoping i could do this by not going to session view, maybe i need to be more specific and say note view, not clip view Press and hold the Session button and then press the clip you want to launch. After yo...

Re: stop switching device view for clip launching?
This isn't an issue with Push but an issue with your preferences.
Go to preferences and click the Record, Warp, Launch tab.
Turn off "Select on Launch"

Re: Push 2: can I select&expand chain from group instr rack?
I'm not in front of mine right now but select the device button on Push 2 and the first button under the 1 of 8 knobs should be the main group of your effects chain. As I recall if you press and hold this button and the other chains can be selected/changed with the bottom row of buttons.

Re: using google drive
If you're on a PC you can download the Google Drive Desktop App (https://www.google.com/drive/download/) and save/sync your folders automatically! With the Drive Desktop App, everything you have on Google drive will be saved on your PC (or you can pick and choose which folders you want to stay in sy...

Re: Push and surface pro 4?
I’m assuming the main reason the OP would even consider switching from a MBP is the magical “touch screen” aspect of the Surface Pro, but last I heard Live isn’t optimized for multi touch displays and therefor the experience is less than ideal, or at least not what you are used to with iOS and Andr...

Re: Push and surface pro 4?
It's typically not recommended to use a hub due to power constraints. Push draws a lot of power and passes a lot of data via the port. Combining that with an audio interface could cause one or more of the devices to not have enough power to operate properly. When using audio applications it's recomm...

Re: Push and surface pro 4?
I use Push 2 on a Surface Pro 4 i5 8GB, 256GB with no problems at all. I will say the Surface Pro 4 has not had the best track record with Audio driver performance but per recommended solution by Robin over at surfaceproaudio.com, he recommends disabling Connected Standby via a registry hack and low...

Re: Focusrite scarlett 18i20 with ableton?
I have the Scarlett 6i6 and the Scarlett 18i20 is just like the 6i6 only with more inputs and outputs. The Scarlett MixControl software is not the most user friendly software and Focusrite could definitely improve on this. Both the 6i6 and 18i20 use the Scarlett MixControl I'm going to try to explai...

Re: Ms surface pro 4 and Ableton?
I've been using a Surface Pro 4, with a Sabrent 4 port, powered USB hub with Push 2, a Focusrite 2i4, a Logitech M570 Mouse and a Razer Tartarus Gaming Keypad all connected with no issues. I also have an M-Audio Axiom Pro 61 but I typically don't use this with my SP4. I think the biggest thing with ...

FYI the noise will typically occur at 8kHz and 16 kHz if it's a ground loop issue.

Re: Guitar Issues with Ableton
I had the same issue with my Focusrite Scarlett 6i6. Turned out to be a ground loop issue with the USB port on the back of the 6i6. The noise only occurred when recording the guitar. I knew it was a ground loop issue of some sort because the noise occurred at two specific frequency ranges. I don't r...

Re: Launch Scene Timing?
If you have Max for Live, you may want to look into Follow by Isotonik Studios. I use this to do exactly what you've described and it allows me much more freedom to jump to parts of song on the fly at the end of a playing clip or scene.
