You’d need to look into the LOM and use max to write it into the max for live device itself. Check out “remotify” it’s an app that lets you easily write scripts for any controller and Ableton. You’d be able to control as many parameters as you want with it. On the hardware side of things check out a midifighter twister it’s great by itself and combined with remotify.

What do you have on the midi track? Are you getting sound from the midi track when it’s frozen/not frozen? If so, try right clicking the track to freeze then right clicking again to flatten and see if that works.

How are you opening the device? Are you dragging it into Ableton?

Push has poly aftertouch but not true MPE. Neither push 1or2 can do that. Poly aftertouch is turned on in the push2s setup page, I’m not sure on push1 but I’d think it’s the same.

Are you dropping it in the rack as a send effect? It sounds like you’re either doing that or dropping it on a pad. If you drop it on a pad it’ll only be on that pad, if you drop it as a send effect it’ll be in your sends and returns in the rack.

I’ve used it with a midi fighter twister and a launchpad and it works great.
