Mac Pro, how much ram should I upgrade to?
Hi there, I recently purchased a Mac Pro 8 Core 2008 Model with 2Gb ram and 320Gb Hard Drive (Got a great deal on it!) I bought this computer exclusively for audio production work. I know I can upgrade up to 32GB of ram if I wanted to however, I have heard that the system won't recognize 32GB ram wh...

Re: "Save current set as a default"
I guess I got to high... I'll answer my own question; just delete all the instruments and plug-ins and leave as desired, then slick "save current live set as default".
Solved!
Thanks me!!!!

"Save current set as a default"
Hey guys, Got a question, I just upgraded to a Mac Pro 8 Core and just did a fresh install of Live Suite in it... The problem that I'm having is by mistake I I clicked "Save current set as a default" under PREFERENCES=> FILE FOLDER (The first option) that every time I try to close a Live s...

Re: Mac Pro Quad Core vs iMac i7
Thanks guys... I'm still very confused... I love the 27in screen on the iMac however the Mac Pro is still definitely more flexible... the thing here is to try to save as much money as I possibly can... I already have an Acer 24" monitor that I bought for $150.00 USD which I love so really all I...

External Instrument + MOOG Slim Phatty
Hello all, Just got my Moog Slim Phatty and it is PHAT!! Been tweaking some knobs and making some sick sounds just by plugging in a midi keyboard controller and connecting headphones to the SP output... Since this is my first hardware synth I'm having some issues with MIDI set up inside Live... now ...

Re: Help synchronizing DSI Tetra and Live's internal clock
I agree... I love the Dark Energy however there I don't have credit with the only US dealer they have... the Slim Phatty I can pick up from www.musiciansfriend.com with their credit card with no interest for 12 months... that's another reason why.

Re: Help synchronizing DSI Tetra and Live's internal clock
Only in the prototype stages though... :? though a user comment in the wire/ear blog indicates pre-orders are being taken (no indication of price).... enomusic, I'd hold off on making a decision until the slimphatty is out and you can get some user feedback. Looks like a sweet unit, and as much as ...

Re: Help synchronizing DSI Tetra and Live's internal clock
Hi Cosmo, Looks really dope and its small!!!! I really dig it.. funny but my friend who is very knowledgeable on this subject also suggested the Dark Energy. It sucks that the LFO's are not sycable... that really blows.. any why to get around this? Funny enough.. we're in the Ableton forum and you s...

Re: Help synchronizing DSI Tetra and Live's internal clock
Cosmosuave, I'm having even more problems with this thing and I must say that I'm pretty upset that I'm having so many issues with it. After taking care of the the sync issues then I had ground/static issues with its USB, now that I fixed that by using a M-Audio sport 2x2 USB to Midi adaptor instead...

Re: Help synchronizing DSI Tetra and Live's internal clock
Well.... after going over the manual I found very little info regarding this other than setting up the internal clock to MIDI in/out, which helped a bit but did not resolve the issue. I had to figure it out on the DSI Tetra Editor which is great by the way under MIDI -> Global Settings -> External. ...
