I am thinking mainly Reaktor and Absynth with the hoggage factor, tru i'm a reaktor user. this soft can effectively be a cpu hog with some ensembles. but not everytime : the library is fited with about 1800 ensembles and you can easily find some which can produce amazing sounds without cpu matter. ...

yep, really bad. i sympathize with you... a friend of mine had a similar problem : he was going to london and sent all his material by airplane. when in london, he saw his powerbook was missing ! it seems somebody from the english post office stole it !!!! hopefully, the service recognized his error...

you don't give enough explanations. but what you have to check first is your levels : the ones on the audio card, also on the behringer if used. do take care of it in the channel : outputs of live mustn't be too high as any other fader in your signal routing. if you hear a saturation or like in your...
