Re: Is there a forum where all the old forum members now go?

But me personally, I couldn't give a whippet's arse gland about politics any more. The last censorship I encountered here for the split-second I strayed from the script the other day hardly counted. But make it impossible to say anything that might risk slightly offending anyone and you get POTUS Tr...

Re: Is there a forum where all the old forum members now go?

I dunno why you'd go to /r/ableton to talk about politics, because there's already /r/politics for that It's like ordering a pint in the chipshop. wasn't really meaning that, more reddit in general is the chip shop with the same people standing around after the pub has shut. You went in for chips a...

Re: Bitwig 2 was just announced. What about Live 10?

If you mean you have to pay for a major update, that's not different from most other music software. The current WUP (Waves Update Plan) really only affects the ability to resell Waves licenses and the support level. You're not cut out from incremental updates. I've had quite a number of plugins ad...

Re: Bitwig 2 was just announced. What about Live 10?

Does anyone know for sure that support stops on the version you own?

And putting aside the time to fix bugs, updates have never been the same for bug fixes anywhere. It's usually years before developers abandon an old version.

Re: Forum has less input from Threads then a year ago.

And no I did most emphatically not watch that video. You putting SJW as a derogative adhom in the description made sure of this. Bewildering that you feel you can comment on it then. I first heard the "SJW" term there and was quoting the title the video was given. Not being even able to a...

Re: Forum has less input from Threads then a year ago.

That's enough guys, this kind of talk is exactly the reason we implented more moderation on the forum. There are more appropriate venues for this kind of talk. And so let's nip it in the bud lest anyone say anything at all challenging and continue the completely moribund, lifelessness that has repl...

Forge. - the useful idiot of the far right… Not for the first time. Yiannopoulos - seriously??? "not for the first time"? News to me. Most of anything I've ever posted on this forum has been more 'far left' than anything, and 2016 was a revelation for me when I discovered how much ...

just putting what was on the Youtube. Take it you're not familiar with George Carlin. And did you watch the SJWs one? Quite staggering the sense of entitlement demanding a whole language is changed on their behalf and attacking a psych prof for trying to reason with them.

Re: Forum has less input from Threads then a year ago.

yeah I know, I copped it too. Old b0unce was some kind of sociopath. That's the Internet I guess, and as they got more popular the gobshite proportion increased with it. It's hard not to miss the days when you didn't even need to sign in, it was a lot more fun then. But that was pre Facebook/Twitter...

Re: Forum has less input from Threads then a year ago.

Definitely mostly due to the banning of talking about anything interesting - in "the Lounge", it just became dull. Part of the global trend towards never saying anything that might slightly offend anyone, which has culminated in the election of the Donald because people feel relieved that ...
