Re: Native Instruments discontinues Kore
This is the first piece of equipment/software I've ever owned to just be straight up discontinued. Don't know how to feel... I have to be completely honest though, I haven't used the Kore software all that much. What I really like about it is being able to use VSTs inside of Logic and VSTs/AUs insid...

Re: mac osx lion and its effects on LIVE
I don't really see anything special going on with Lion. Some new gestures for the trackpad... meh. I rarely use the current gestures. Launchpad is just a gimmick. I have instant access to my applications right now. I don't need to see them iPad style to know that. Mission control... same as Exposé w...

Re: ableton your simpler/sampler is worthless
Why even bother to reply to the OP. Given his overall tone, I doubt he will seriously consider ANY solutions presented to him. His mind is made up. The software sucks. Sure, in the past, talented individuals have created masterpieces using only a small fraction of the technology available to us toda...

Re: Fuck you, and your 30% off!
I have a bit of advice for anyone that gets angry when something they purchased at full price is offered to others at a discount: Don't buy anything at full price. Simple as that. beats me, that's a nice idea, but Live and M4L are two separate products. Why should older users be given a better deal ...

Re: Poor quality WAV export
One thing you could try, instead of exporting from the file menu, is recording the master output back into live. Then locate the recorded file and have a listen to that. If it still sounds different, I'm stumped. Hopefully it's something simple. The only time I ever had a problem with the export dif...

I would love to have this functionality as well, but as far as I know it is not possible. Will someone please prove me wrong...

Re: Launchpad - Won't work with built-in USB ports
...Big sigh of relief. Finally found the culprit. Pro Tools MIDI drivers. Worthless. So frustrating. Done. If anyone ever has this same issue, and you have Pro Tools installed on your Mac system, the Digidesign MIDI drivers are located in Macintosh HD>Library>Audio>MIDI Drivers. There are likely 2 D...

Re: Launchpad - Won't work with built-in USB ports
One more update... I'm using my laptop with an external monitor in my workstation set up. The external monitor has USB ports, and acts as a sort of hub. It has to be connected to the USB port in order to work though, and my other hub is then connected to the monitor. This is the set up when everythi...

Re: Launchpad - Won't work with built-in USB ports
Okay... it's not my track ball or mbox mini. I've also tried using other peripherals connected via the USB ports, and they all work fine. It's only the launchpad that doesn't want to work. I've also tried messing with Automap, but even that won't recognize the launchpad while it's in a direct port. ...

Re: Launchpad - Won't work with built-in USB ports
The hub is powered, but it isn't connected when I'm having this issue. In fact, nothing else is connected to my laptop when I'm having this issue. Only the launchpad. I have two USB ports, and the launchpad won't work in either of them, but again, it works just fine connected to the hub. I have one ...

Launchpad - Won't work with built-in USB ports
First, let me state that I have already contacted Novation support, and I'm currently awaiting a reply. The issue is this: The Launchpad works perfectly... when it is connected to my USB hub. If I take it out and try to connect it directly into a USB port it completely stops working. It is not recog...

Pop-up windows
I don't know how I never noticed this before, but every time I open a pop up window it opens behind my plug-in windows. Preferences and quantize are a couple of examples of the pop ups I'm talking about, and it's quite frustrating to have to move the plug-in window each time I want to quantize a mid...

Re: Syncing Traktor to Ableton
The virtual port should be specific to Traktor, not the computer's operating system. I apologize for my ignorance. I had always just assumed it was available in the PC version as well. Even every tutorial I have just browsed through makes no mention of it being mac specific. At any rate, the OP cou...

Re: Syncing Traktor to Ableton
Mac and PC. The virtual port is specific to Traktor, not the computer's operating system. I forgot they made it difficult to enable the virtual port. It used to be you could just check it in the MIDI clock tab. To enable it in the latest version, go to controller manager and create a new generic MID...

Re: Syncing Traktor to Ableton
If you are using Traktor Pro or Duo, MIDI yoke is unnecessary. Simply enable Traktor's virtual ports.
