Re: Help with video export!!! Please someone who knows about fps

Well, 24 fps is traditional framerate for film, and 30 for video. See if there is a film/video setting somewhere, and set it for film.

Re: How to use a track as side chain while keeping it in the mix

You could create a return track that outputs to the plugin, then use the send knob.

Re: Guitars Max4Live and stuff of interest

37 here. Ableton is my main DAW of choice. This is after years of using Sonar, and being trained in mixing and production with Pro Tools. Lately (last 2 years) I've been using PodFarm VST for guitars, and it sounds great. For a while we were using the rig live at church for complex songs with additi...

Re: Vocoder and MIDI track volume help

No problem, bro. I use a MOTU 828mkII, firewire. 10 analog inputs, plus I run an 8channel Mic pre into it via ADAT, which gives me 18 total inputs. I've been very happy with it.

Re: Vocoder and MIDI track volume help

Oh, by the way, that's not my voice - it's my buddy Rob's. Mine is much more nasal and whiny sounding, lol.

Re: Vocoder and MIDI track volume help

I can pretty much guarantee the dry Mic signal you'e hearing is coming directly via the soundcard, and not Ableton. The Creative cards typically have two sides to the mixer app - a recording (input) side, and a playback (output) side. The recording side is where you set your Mic input level for Able...

Re: Heavy sub kicks

To add some subkick to an acoustic kick sample, I also use Corpus as a parallel effect chain. Use membrane material, tune and tweak. Maybe add a little dirt and LPF.

Re: Composition/Production Proccess

One thing I need to start doing is when tossing bits out, dropping them into a folder. Who knows, they may eventually find their rightful place, lol.

Re: Composition/Production Proccess

At a big level, I separate my creative sessions from my technical sessions. For example, a technical session might include gathering all the loops, clips, and samples I plan on using in a song, setting warp markers, creating audio tracks for recorded instruments, etc. That way during a creative sess...

Re: Need help/Issues with using External HD in DJing Live

My experience with running Live off an external USB has been abysmal. Could be it was a poorly spec'd drive. Nowadays I run a Glyph off of eSATA, and it's mostly the bomb. I occasionally lose link with the drive (1 out of 6 sessions), but I'm pretty sure it's due to the elcheapo eSATA express card I...

According to their website, streams get converted to mono (J-stereo), but downloads are not converted at all.

Re: Q about Nocturn and Automap 4

Just got one recently but have only played with it a little. I haven't had any stability issues. As long as I ensure the Ableton channel is active, it works as advertised. The speed dial controls whatever the mouse is pointed at. If the mouse is not over a control, turning the knob moves the mouse p...
