Also, I believe that there is a wacom object for PureData (Max/MSP's free cousin), that lets you read all the pressure/gesture info and do what you want with it, including MIDI output.

another question re setting up Korg microKontrol via Automap
I've got a Korg microKontrol almost perfectly set up, but there is one thing that is stumping me - the drum pads are mapped to notes which play drum racks (good), but the Ableton docs (Control Surface Reference in the Lessons) show that I should be able to use them to select among parameter banks. T...

Re: Enable Trackpoint scrolling for Ableton on Thinkpads
hmm, i don't have that file unfortunately. i installed the trackpoint driver and i have a trackpoint tab in my mouse settings, but maybe i didn't install a separate app for it or something. darn. It's in there somewhere - search your system for tp4table.dat - you've got to have either the Lenovo or...

Enable Trackpoint scrolling for Ableton on Thinkpads
Hey, those of you using Thinkpads with Ableton Live may have noticed that middle-button scrolling does not work in Live. However, there is a fix. I've tried it on two Thinkpads, and it has worked perfectly. 1) Find the file tp4table.dat, it will be either at c:\Program Files\Lenovo\Trackpoint\tp4tab...

Re: Live 8: For an unknown reason, Live could not delete the tem
Yep, I'm getting this too. Even just when closing an empty set. Ever since I started using Live 8 I've been getting intermittent messages that say: For an unknown reason, Live could not delete the temporary files from G:\Temp\Temp-nn Project\ The Temp folder fills up with stuff and I go in and manua...

If you use your ExpressCard slot for an eSATA connection, you can easily get better performance than the internal drive on your laptop. I was using a LaCie ExpressCard eSATA adapter with a G-Tech external drive for video capture, and was getting upwards of 90MBps transfer rates, better than the 7200...

Hey there! I've been living in NY for a few years, here are some thoughts: 1) Shows: Blue Man Group - they've been around forever, but they're still pretty fresh and fun. Their original theater is the one near Astor Place. Book ahead. Fuerza Bruta, new production from De La Guarda, showing on Union ...
