I think so.
It explains why MPE wasn't added to Operator. They have bigger plans for it.
FM is popular these days and MPE would be cool with FM.
I'm guessing a bigger GUI (a la Wavetable), MPE, Possibly more Operators, more Routings, morphable Waveforms.

Re: So... Live on Linux?
Now, since Push 3 standalone runs Live on some version of Linux, what are the chances the actual DAW also gets released on Linux? In last couple of years audio environment for Linux has become very robust, with many DAWs (Reaper, Bitwig, Waveform, Ardour - to name the key players) and hundreds of V...

Re: when is Live 12 coming?
Hello forum, i wouldnt expect that anybody official would answer this question. the thing is i want to upgrade from Live Standard to Live Suite in mid of July and would be dissappointed when short afterswards Live 12 would show up. any thoughts about this? I'm guessing since Push 3 is out, 12 will ...

Re: Push 3 ADAT I/O recommendations?
What are people using for ADAT I/O for their Push 3? I've done some searching for and have found a handful of affordable-ish 1U 8-channel mic preamps/line inputs with 8 line outputs: * Behringer ADA8200 ($229) * Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre ($499) * Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic ($699) * Focusri...

Re: Chord or Reference Track
Hi all, Not sure if this has been asked before (if it has - my apologies in advance) I was wondering if there is any way to create a chord track like in Cubase or S14. I have Melodyne but currently need to drag the sample there, get chords, drag back... Or use Ableton built in slice to harmony, Iss...

Re: LOW LATENCY MODE --- WHY ISNT THIS ALREADY A FEATURE?!?!?!
 #1 we need low latency mode like logic pro x. in ableton this is a huge problem for recording midi and ESPECIALLY for recording audio. currently we mighta as well not even bother recording audio in ableton. this is the main feature that logic pro x has that ableton desperately needs. we need ...

Re: MIDI QUANTIZE: Any features like Cubase
Its rare that I use midi but I generally like doing certain instruments all realtime for feel Some percussive type stuff, I like to set a capture grid in cubase and just use incremental groove quantise just to tighten the on beat 1/4 notes. ie any notes that are outside the capture zone are dragged...

Re: Poll about Live 11.2. What's your experience ?
To be honest I haven't used it rigorously enough to rate but for general playback of VSTs, Ableton devices it hasn't been giving me any issues. ironically I have been doing more Live shows lately vs production and haven't had alot of time to focus on production although I use Ableton almost everyday...

Re: I'm LOVIN' Live, but.........
Yes.
I think that would be a "No Brainer" as it would just be a key command and wouldn't need a new button vs something like a chord tool, which would take a good deal of thought.

Re: Glue Compressor confusing the hell out of me.
The Bus and channel compressor seem very different from each other as one is feed forward and other is feedback. This response seems the same in Reason, Ik, UAD, NI, or about every SSL type compressor I own. They just work differently and have different purposes. interesting. i only have Plugin All...

Re: I'm LOVIN' Live, but.........
What is the deal with being so behind with midi editing? Not even a split notes/cut tool? I've gotta pony up coin to buy a MFL add-on just to do that (I don't like wrappers if at all possible) Don't get me wrong, I'm happy and I can work around it, but unless I'm missing something, it's so behind. ...

Re: Glue Compressor confusing the hell out of me.
 The meters seem backward on glue compressor. I compress a signal on a 2:1 ratio, I get 5dB gain reduction I move the ratio to 10:1 I get 1dB of gain reduction I don't get it. Does yours do the same? I don't get the same result using SSL's plugin. Moving to 10:1 yields more gain reduction. ...

Re: Saturator 'Drive' control documentation
Here's an easy one (probably). The help text for the Saturator 'Drive' control says: "This adjusts the gain of the input signal as it enters Saturator.” Which seems correct. However, the documentation says: "Incoming signals are first clipped to the dB level set by the Drive control."...

Re: Strum Effect
Strumming is to brush the fingers over the strings of (a musical instrument) in playing. It gives chords a natural feel. Sadly, Ableton doesn’t have a simple way of doing this  . For the next update, I think many would appreciate the strum effect without needing to use an Arpeggiator or such. ...
