In Live 10, there's a "capture" button on the screen that retroactively records recent MIDI activity. On Push, you activate that button by holding the record button and pressing "New."
Is there an analogous way to activate the capture feature on an APC40 MKii?

It's a workaround rather than a solution; but yes.Stromkraft wrote:So the solution is to move the contained project out of the containing project folder?ark wrote:It happens when a project contains another project.

Re: 7200 vs. 5400 rpm
My very first laptop had a 4200RPM drive that would let me run 48+ 24bit tracks in Live. I think any modern HD is likely more than fast enough for most audio production, and unless you're doing gigantic sessions or need super fast transfers for some reason, most people will never notice the differe...

7200 vs. 5400 rpm
Once upon a time, the conventional wisdom was to avoid 5400 RPM drives on computers used for music production. However, since then, several things have happened: 1) Larger laptop drives seem to be 5400 RPM. So, for example, I've seen some laptops that offer a choice between a 1TB 7200 RPM drive and ...

Re: Ableton Live on Windows PC, but Instruments on Ipad. Help.
Also...I believe that if you use an iConnectivity audio interface such as the iConnectAudio4+, you can treat your iOS device as if it were an additional set of digital audio channels. That is, you connect your computer, your iOS device, and your monitors to the iConnectAudio4+, and then use that dev...

Is anyone else having occasional cpu spikes on Windows?
I would like to know whether anyone else has the following symptoms: After Live has been running a while, audio becomes choppy and then the cpu meter rises above 100% During cpu spike, task manager shows significant cpu taken by the Ableton Index process, even though nothing has changed lately that ...

Re: correct gain staging in live
Multiplication distributes over addition. Suppose you have four tracks, T1 through T4. You want to change the level of each track by multiplying it by a gain factor G. Then (T1*G + T2*G + T3*G + T4*G) = (T1 + T2 + T3 + T4)*G because multiplication distributes over addition. Therefore changing the le...

Re: New to Windows...Help!
So if i create a main folder called VST and then 32bit and 64bit folders in that folder and put for example spire in the instrument folder and for example fabfilter in the effects folder , i just point the custom vst folder to the VST and it will pick them up in other folders? Probably not a good i...

Re: nativeKONTROL - ClyphX Pro - OUT NOW!
While you're waiting for the answer I'd like to mention that clip launch quantization can be set for 1, 2, 4, or 8 bars on the clip itself. I do know that--but that's not what I want. I want to be able to guarantee that a clip will always launch, say, 3 beats into a bar. set the desired delay from ...
