After 3 weeks of arsing about with the new laptop, I took it back to the shop and got a mac. I never used one before but all seems hunky dory. Sending the m-audio back now and getting an Ultralite. I think I've seen the light. BTW: The new Compaq v6200 series are useless for audio they seem to have ...

Yes, you can either export audio through rewire as described before, all audio files will then be 'sequenced' in arrangement view. One audio file for each track. You can then cut loops out and remix on the fly in session view (this would really be the best option for playing out) Alternatively you c...

Use to live in phibsboro for a few years myself, living in Galway now. Still travel up and down a good bit. long time reason/cubase, had the demo for a long time but never really got into it, took the bait on one of those m audio upgrade offers about a month ago and now I'm loving it. Disabling ACPI in fresh Windows install
I've come to the conclusion that this is the only way to make sure your soundcard is not sharing an IRQ with other devices when using a laptop. Just configuring my new system and thinking of trying this. Heard it best to leave XP do it's thing but it arranges the IRQs so badly, esp for audio work. H...

I know that the Emu cards do not like sharing IRQs. Go to Start > Programs > Accessories >System Information Find out whatever your card is sharing an IRQ with and disable it in the hardware profile. IRQ problems are difficult to resolve on laptops with only one PCIMCA slot, so your only option will...

Thanks, checked it out and it looks good, could be just the one, don't like this high pitched noise issue though, the ECHO AUDIOFIRE 4 also looks to have similar features. Anyone used one of those with live ? Is the M-Audio Firewire 410 a definite no-no with live, or is it just mackbook owners that ...

Audio Interface

Can anyone recommend an interface that works well with live for under 350 euro.Firewire preferably. Running an Intel Core 2 duo with Windows XP with Live 6 Also does...
