Re: beatport brickwall
IMO the term "Producer" is thrown around and misused way too much especially in the genre of electronic music. Every morning you wake up, you "produce" something in the toilet. This is not the job of a "Producer." A real producer is a finisher with keen sharp musical sk...

How about: You want to lose your girlfriend? try Max/Msp This would be my shirt lol  "Max/Msp - Weapon of Mass confusion and aliasing and too much math and what you get for your time is not worth it and I just spent a month on a max synth that I could have made in Reaktor in 1 hour.&qu...

Re: NI Maschine controlling Ableton just like APC40
+1 lol! Outputs unlimited yet? for Ver 2.0.01b --- I'm sure in 5 years. Is the reverb as ridiculous as the Live one? ala 1989 Midiverb III? Is the reverb only to outputs 1-2 like idiotic NI Battery? Why? Why? Why? Side bar alert sorry. Max 4 Live? FUCK. You mean typical Cycling 74 lousy aliasing al...

Re: deadmau5 remixing all of the new u2 album for itunes!!!!!
If you cannot see that a minimal producer doing the Olympics is funny at first, I don't know what to tell you. I'm sure you don't... :P Why don't you explain it to me? On a global level asking RH to do the olympics imo was laughable. There is no other explanation required really. Its like asking Fo...

Re: did you go to music school or are you a solid producer?
Piano lessons from age 7-15 classically trained (if thats music school?) Fortunate enough to have friends/family in recording business. Learned hands on mixing from age 16. Worked in many studios. Studied with Tom Dowd for a year right before his death. Producer/composer/sound designer for film and ...

Re: mastering software
Very true. And the results will always be the best this way. Now hands up, who has a spare 1000 - 2000 bucks for a mastering budget ... Or you can get experienced guys who don't quite have the Lavry converters, Avocet Cranesong controllers and Weiss outboard gear, but who nonetheless have some nice...

Re: mastering software
Um mpk49guy.... If money is no object why wouldn't you just take your music to a mastering engineer?
You can't buy 20-30 years of professional mastering experience and the golden ears that come with those years.
You can master an entire album by a pro for around $1,500.

just joking I thought so. Had to be. You never know though. I thought the Richie hawtin doing Olympics opening theme song was a joke thread too. 'Cause, after all, your personal back catalog contains something that can compare with Spastik, right? Hate on Hawtin all you want, but at least demonstra...

Re: sampled sounds not fitting in my overall mix
hitechsoul15, you say -
"I sample and incorporate it in live it doesn't fit well in the mix"
Are you talking about the tuning of the sounds or the mix balance? Please be more specific.

Try these new Gold baby "Vinyl" drums, they cut all machines one sound at a time to vinyl. They'll sound right. I have yet to find anything from these guys that doesn't sound amazing.
