Re: Live and Snow Leopard
Hmmm... Suicide Server, where did you read that Apple is changing audio framework for 10.6? 10.6 is considered a maintenance upgrade (hence the price) and I have never once seen any mention of large changes to the overall audio framework. I think that 10.6 is the way that major OS releases should be...

Re: transposing into other keys. music therory
Haha, who is that who says Ab is doomed? Anyway, is the song completely in Abmajor (just jams on the chord) or does it follow some sort of typical Abmajor progression? If it just jams on the chord then throw one of the chords in that 4.33 mentioned above (but we need to think in Ab): Relative minor/...

Re: Is there any point in needing to Defrag in OSX Leopard
Yeah, if you are moving large files around (videos, ISOs, etc.) then a defrag once a month or so could be a good thing. idefrag is my favorite amongst the rabble, but you do have to unmount your hard drive to properly defrag it (basically load idefrag off of a start up disc). There is a basic defrag...

Re: SARAH PALIN RESIGNS AS GOVERNOR OF ALASKA
There is only one phrase I will ever use to describe Sarah Palin:
total douche bag.
She should be expunged from these here 50 states.

I's say between the $99 and $159 area with me leaning more towards $99. I am curious as to how much it will cost me as a current Max 5 license holder...

Re: HD failure... need help with recovery. Disk warrior?
Sounds like it could be a physical failure... this is not something that disc warrior can inherently fix, but it may be helpful... I would suggest putting the hard drive into the freezer for about 15 minutes before attempting this procedure (take it out of the laptop). You actually don't even need d...

Re: OT: recommend a keyboard/synth amp
Yeah, I like to play my keyboards through my guitar amp (with some distortion now and then). I think it makes a neat combo. If I were to play my keyboard through anything else, I would most likely just go through a PA (live at least)...

Re: Any Wilco Fans--one, two, maybe
I really loved watched "I am trying to break your heart", a documentary that chronicled Wilco making Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (and Jay's last days with the band). It is mostly behind the scenes, in studio footage and is really intriguing for a Wilco fan. As far as Sky Blue Sky is concerned, it...

Tap Tempo vs. Click
Greetings, I would like to pose a question to this knowledgeable forums. A question my band has been arguing my some time now and one that is really holding us back. Everyone wants for me to add some electronics and video to our live show. However, the drummer does not want to use a click track. His...

Re: Any Wilco Fans--one, two, maybe
It's a real shame that Jay died, I believe he was a big part of the Wilco sound I love. Anyway, Wilco is a fantastic band, one of my all time favorites. I really love all their albums, especially Yankee. They really used electronic music techniques well in that album and created a very special and u...
