Re: Ableton and the Kaoss KP3 as an external FX processor...
In that case add the external effect to the track itself (1-Audio) and flip the switch on the back of the KP3 to direct. you will only be able to use the KP3 on that one track but all the signal running from 1-Audio will go to the KP3 and through the KP3. you can adjust the wet/dry on the KP3 using ...

Re: Ableton and the Kaoss KP3 as an external FX processor...
I could be wrong (and I'm not at my DAW at the moment) but I think that your problem is in your routing. try setting it up this way. 1-audio set to Auto with audio out set to master. add the external effect to send track A and set its I/O up as needed for your sound card setup. Set the output for Se...

Re: friend just gave me his Virus B...
For MIDI you could buy a USB/MIDI interface There are no limits (as far as I know) to the number of midi ins and outs you can add. I currentlly have 5 midi outs and 4 midi ins in my set-up. (each with 16 channels which is way more than I need). A 1 in / 1 out interface will cost up to about $30 a 2 ...

Re: Launchpad to much dependent on Live DAW / please read!
Isn't this like complaining that the remote that came with your TV works great with your TV but on your stereo it only changes the current input and turns it on and off but doesn't control the volume? Tho I might be misunderstanding what you are complaining about . . .

You had to contact Ableton support 10 times a year? for 2 years? I think that Ableton support is the least of your problems.

Re: Akai APC 40: Has it delivered?
Yes definitely delivered, I like mine a lot. Works exactly like I thought it would, and feels very sturdy given the price. My only minor complaint is that I wish the stop clip buttons were red instead of green, but that's a really minor point. yeah that would be great. I also would like the main vo...

Re: Multiple Launchpads/APC40s Question: Lock the Banks/Pages?
I am hoping that the APC20 will be able to do this with the APC40 but we'll see. it would be a great feature.

If you already own an APC40, you can hook up an APC20 and automatically access 16 tracks and an enormous 80-button grid, thanks to the new 'Combination Mode.' You can also run up to 6 APC20s together.
Oh cool. Where did you see that?

Re: Launchpad or APC 20?
i think the APC20's strength is going to be when combined with the APC40. if you don't have the APC40 or don't plan on lugging both around, then i'd go with the launchpad. I wonder if there is going to be a way to combine the "red box" of the APC40 with that if the APC20 so that there was...

Re: Noob Studio Setup Question
I use Ableton as my mixing consol controlled by an APC40. the mains from my audio interface go to a Samson C-control - Control Room Matrix http://www.samsontech.com/products/productpage.cfm?prodID=1650&brandID=2 (i've got a second one for headphones) which then go to my monitors. I use the exter...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
I second the Power adapter question. I use my APC both Live and in my studio and would like not to have to climb behind my rack to unplug/plug it in each time I switch between the two. Also are there any gig bags for the APC? I think that Akai and or Ableton would make a ton of money if they made th...
