I use a music stand for that, it can hold my laptop and the controller.

Whatever you'll use to compose, you have to look at something: your screen,your guitar,keyboard, your girlfriend,your penis,etc,etc... unless you're blind. I don't get why you don't want to look at Live on your screen if it's your instrument in this case.

My mate and I do a mix between a live set and a live act, so we use my laptop (with Live,Reason and Guitar Rig on it), controlled by a UC33e,an Oxygen 8 and a FCB1010.We also use the EMX1,ESX1,KP3 (Korg),Micron and...we incorporated cdj's because she has a background as a traditional Dj here in this...
