Thats not down to Ableton to see whats registered or not other than their own live packs etc, that plugin should do a pop up to inform you it wasnt registered.

No, I use the same OS (Catalina). The main difference is that the new disc is a SSD disc while the old one was a "normal" disc from 2013.
