Re: convert midi signals to computer keyboard keystrokes (PC)?
are any of you using glovepie on windows 7? i looked at the website and it doesn't list windows 7 as an operating system so i'm starting to think it doesn't work for whatever reason. when i click the "detect output to emulate" or "detect input to emulate" button in the GUI, it re...

Re: convert midi signals to computer keyboard keystrokes (PC)?
ok i'm trying to test without midiox or midiyoke, so just the midi device straight in.
the script i'm using is:
midi.DeviceIn = 9
midi.DefaultChannel = 1
midi.c1 = Keyboard.Q
it's not working though, is there something wrong with the script?

Re: convert midi signals to computer keyboard keystrokes (PC)?
i must be missing something here. my routing goes like this: [midi controller] ---> [midiox (output: midi yoke 1)] ---> [glovepie] the midi signal should already convert into a keyboard keystroke before entering into ableton right? i don't understand what ableton does in the process. i'm trying to t...

Re: convert midi signals to computer keyboard keystrokes (PC)?
yeah i have all my midi going through midiox into midiyoke. am i supposed to route something through ableton? in glovepie, when i click "detect output", i press a key on the computer keyboard and it responds right away. when i click "detect input" and send midi signals, nothing r...

Re: convert midi signals to computer keyboard keystrokes (PC)?
i tried using glovepie but it doesn't seem to recognize any midi input signals. are you using this program yourself?

convert midi signals to computer keyboard keystrokes (PC)?
i'm trying to find a way to convert midi messages to live's keyboard shortcuts (such as shift-tab to toggle between clip view and track view). i searched around and found a program called midistroke that seems to be able to convert midi to keystrokes on a computer keyboard, but it's only for mac and...

can live receive program change data?
many vst's are able to receive program change data from my midi keyboard (i can press 01, 02, 03, etc on my midi keyboard and they will select the corresponding preset number in the vst). when i try mapping any of these program change numbers in live, it all registers as a pitchbend regardless of wh...

Re: trying to find an 808/nepheton/adm type sequencer plugin
yeah but it's a horrendous experience browsing through them (they all have to be in one folder) and once you load them into the drum machine, they aren't even labeled so it's a headache trying to remember which is which. either way, i'm basically just looking for a simple sequencer that has the opti...

trying to find an 808/nepheton/adm type sequencer plugin
i really like the sequencer on 808's so i'm in search of basically an 808 emulator plugin that can load samples instead of only 808 synthesized drums. something similar to nepheton/adm but without having to reroute to another sampler. the features i'm looking for are fairly simple: -16 note sequence...

Re: a "humanize" midi plugin for live?
so the "random" parameter in groove pool would have the exact same effect regardless of which groove you choose? he says in the video that the groove file was just an excuse to get to the randomization sliders and that an empty file would do the exact same thing? that's all new to me, than...

a "humanize" midi plugin for live?
i'm looking for a plugin that will randomize delay and pre-delay times for midi notes. i use a sequencer for a lot of instruments because the workflow is faster and a "humanize" plugin would be a quick and easy way to add some subtle variation. i searched around and found a plugin called &...

possible to modulate envelope automation like an LFO?
i'm trying to get saturator to "pulsate" (drive levels going up and down) to the track tempo like a sine wav in an LFO. i have to manually draw zig-zag shapes like /\/\/\/\/\/\ in the clip's envelope automation but it would be better if i could get a round sine-shape instead. is it possibl...

Re: synths sounding very different under different sample rates?
thanks for the replies, i actually found a way to retain the same sound of 192 khz after exporting to 44 khz by first exporting to 192 khz wav and then taking that 192 khz wav and exporting to 44 khz.
kind of strange how live can't directly export from 192 kh to 44 khz without altering the sound?

synths sounding very different under different sample rates?
for certain vst instruments, the sound changes dramatically when switching from one sample rate to another in live. under the lower sample rates, the sound is far more dark/bassy in contrast to sounding bright/clear when using the higher sample rates. if i'm ultimately going to export to the lower 4...

plugin for viewing midi keys being played (PC)?
i know macs have something to view keyboard/midi keys being played on your screen. i'm trying to learn to play some songs on the keys by using downloaded midi files so it would really be helpful to have a display of which keys are being played while listening to the songs. anyone know of a plugin?
